Alright chat, I need tips. Stuck on the last mission of the Protoss campaign in Starcraft 2 (hard). Gotta hold on until the keystone charges up again, only I don’t seem to be able to hold on long enough and build up my forces fast enough, leading to my allies getting overrun.

I am wondering if I should go for a defensive army that can take a beating, or one that’s better at dealing damage.

My army comp at the moment is as follows:

If someone’s curious what army comp im trying to use, im running with a pretty defensive one atm, mostly focussed on survival.

Open with immortals/sentries, transition to void rays+carriers, max supply, spam cannons/monoliths.

Edit: and remember to laugh when Alarak spends the entire game bragging only to go down in wave 1. More like L-arak. gottem

Max supply as in Spear of Adun you mean? I already use the immortals and sentries, I just seem too slow to build up in time. I switched to the unit builds that you got, but it seems I may have to be faster on building the cannons/monoliths.

Spear of Adun abilities I curently got are: Chronoboost, 3x timestop, warp robotics+stargate, Fenix, Timestop and shield thingie, so had nothing left to put on either supply or other thingies.

This is very true :stuck_out_tongue:

Bully him a little
then give him a hot cocoa
because he’s cute

Show Alarak some respect, he was in TNG

Nah as in don’t build static defence until you’ve maxed out your buildable units with VRs+Carriers.

I don’t remember all the choices but Solar Lance is 100% top tier choice, and the one with automated gas is also real solid for getting the econ online faster (and saving you 6-12 supply for more void rays).

Thanks, ill make some changes then! Not sure about solar lance, never used it, but ill definetly go back to automated vespene.

Will graft something fascinatingly terrifying to your family tree.

Generally you want to cover for your allies’ weaknesses - a Tal’darim mothership alone will cover for vorazun, putting Alarak in pylon jail will make sure he stays alive while his vanguards turn enemies into paste, and karax’s fast build works on your buildings too so building next to him will let you fire out fast units

Primarily void rays to snipe the big targets will serve you well

I read alot about that, is that purely next to Karax himself, or near his buildings?

It’s his ability from the no-build mission you control him, so a couple of star ports next to him will let you fire out void rays like they’re paper aeroplanes

abandoned my grandiose dreams of legendary armor on gw2. :pensive: the grind would have destroyed me

also i found an easier to obtain collection of cyberpunk maxtac armor and that just does it for me

Time to exploit the shiz out of that.

Welp, I won the mission, didn’t get to exploit Karax, he died too fast :frowning:

Still, using the automated vespene turned out to be a gamechanger, and especially once I managed to get voidrays going, aswell as churn out one group of 8 Dark Archons that let me snatch reavers, colossi and carriers, that’s when I got going and managed to hold.

Didn’t even get to build that many cannons like on Shakuras.

So now, onto the epilogue. I know I can win the first mission on hard, but i never managed the second where you got to play as terran and defend kerrigan.

Going through the quests to get flying mounts destroyed me. So I wandered off.

those i somehow didnt mind as much. the grind for both the gryphon and skyscale were somehow more engaging than “farm the exact same demon spawning rift + waste 30 minutes on a massive material gain event that fails because the MMO universal is that people will greed dps before doing an actual mechanic.”

So apperantly an autistic girl being friends with a boy, in her year group, who actively bullies, demeans, gets her into trouble, damages her things, often makes her uncomfortable and engages in behaviour that if he were a few years older would be described as a bit grapey.

But apperantly ‘there’s a good and bad’ to this friendship because she doesn’t have many. God I loathe people.

Cool, so it’s ok to get all of the above so long as you have a friend. Christ.
