I am still improbably enjoying Path of Titans, even the Public Servers (which are either peaceful or cutthroat and apparently nothing inbetween lol)
I have also started my second prehistoric beasty - in this case a Rhamphorhynchus - think a tiny spite-hawk with a face full of needles and an appetite for fish.
So far I’ve been beaten up by 90% of the land dweller critters, especially the one I need to kill for the most basic baby quest ._. Because they’re all twice the size of my rat-wing body.
I’ve killed a lot of fish, at least. And the benefit of being the size of a large rat with wings is that a single fish basically fills me right up! Unlike the big dinos, which have a LOT higher dietry requirements.
Also, the joy of being able to perch on a tall rock, watch people, and then do a raucous, freaky prehistory bird-cackle, is unmatched.

For those interested in the joys of the Warcraft Adventures, here’s a playthrough of the full game -
The voice acting and dialogue is actually better in some places than in the modern game. Some places.
Orgrim Doomhammer is voiced by Peter Cullen.
One of the things I find interesting is alcoholism rather than fel withdrawl is the thing that lethargises the Orcs in this version of the timeline. Metzen has been on record talking about the struggles he and his father had with it in the past.
Another interesting difference is Deathwing is Alexstrasza’s son in this timeline. He is also killed by Thrall, albeit in a fairly different fashion.

Here’s an example of some genuine Warcraft esoterica. There was an expansion pack that included nothing except more maps. I love this old style of fantasy art, and I kinda wish Ogres were playable.

I started reading the bible some month or so ago, and I have been slowly going through it. I am currently at the 4th Moses’ book, and it’s been quite nicw so far. Although there are like 50 pages of lists of who is who’s son/family member and who belongs to which tribe and then another 20 pages about sourdough bread which can get a bit tedious, otherwise it has been a nice journey.
My plan is to finish it by spring, both the old and the new testament.

had the misfortune to hear some if the current US clown show speak by virtue of being unlucky enough to be near a tv yesterday.
They speak like children. And I do mean that literally. It’s like they all collectively hit a certain point in development and just stopped.
It’s not even that they, actual functional adults, are stupid (they are though) but it’s like something much deeper went horribly wrong in their actual development - beyond the obvious ‘lots of money’ thing.
The really damning thing is they don’t even speak like intelligent children.
I am genuinely curious how many of them would do on a phonics program, Im honestly not convinced they’d get past initial speed sounds.

Trying to concentrate on other projects while you wait on the knowledge of if you get to play as a thing you’ve wanted to play as since BC is not easy…
At this rate I’ll be glad even if we don’t get them announced tomorrow simply because it frees up brain space.
