Talos isn’t a nordic god, the actual nordic god would be Shor and Ysmir, who occupy the same cosmic space as Talos but predates Talos.
Skyrim was really bad about religion. The Nords should have worshiped the Nordic pantheon not the divines.
The correct outcome to the skyrim civil war was to not take part in it and then force everyone to work it out in the peace conference.
Edit: skyrim is also screwed, its a pattern that the province of the previous game gets screwed in the next game
