Pet peeves: The return (Part 2)

Worgen should have had a tail.
Yes, this is a hill I will die on.

I agree. They still look too forward-heavy without one.

And if people donā€™t want a tailā€¦just give them the option to not have one! Itā€™s that easy!!!

Tails pls. Fluffy ones.

Going to spend a few days not playing FF14, bit burned out, just want to do silly things in DoS2 and DS3.

Maybe even start an FF12 playthrough.

Iā€™m Captain Basch of Dalmasca. Donā€™t listen to Ondorā€™s lies.

Give them small stumps.

As a customization option, why not?

Oh right, we donā€™t do that here :upside_down_face:

I finally got Doom Eternal.

Iā€™m really bad at it.

And I think I need to tweak the settings to ensure smooth gameplay. Or just get a new 'puter.

Just subjective, but I really couldnā€™t get on with Eternal. At all.
I loved Doom 2016, and yet Eternal was justā€¦ it changed everything I loved (except the music).

Combat was no longer a steady ballet of destruction, instead its a madcap scramble-dash to apply rock-paper-scissors in the correct way, and only the correct way.
Platforming was now a mandatory, arduous thing instead of an oddity.
And on and on. Meh.

Still holding out for belf customisation or ANYTHING on Void elves. pls.

throwback to many Doom WADs implementing platforming to increase difficulty but the movement was kinda terrible for platforming if you played it without jump (so, as most want you to play)

either way, Doom 2016/Eternal <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Doom 1/2 and their infinite WADs.

is the dumb 16-monster rule or whatsitwas still present in Eternal?

What was the 16 monster rule? I donā€™t recall it.

I thought DOOM Eternal was a superb improvement on something that was already fantastic. It did ruin the original 2016 release for me, though. I tried to go back and play it after beating Eternal and it felt so sluggish.

Doom is excellent.
Havenā€™t played the games that come with the soundtrack yet tho. Not really planning to. But itā€™s nice that they did that, I guess.

Something something you can only have 16 monsters per room at the same time, so itā€™s usually like a wave simulator, instead of, yā€™knowā€¦ doing anything comparable to the good old Doom WADs of old.

I suppose they tried to go around it by just making stronger individual monsters which could be interesting, but thatā€™s not really Doom any more. Even Brutal Doom was kind of weird but doable.

I guess I havenā€™t really checked for any WAD remasters in the new Doom 2016/Eternal map creator, butā€¦ I also think if they had been, Iā€™d have heard of it. Alas.

DOS2 completed again (this time on classic mode)

Going to do it again on classic mode with a few slight changes, i want to perfect it enough that I can take it into tactician mode.

Iā€™ve got 253 hours in total and havenā€™t completed it once.

Iā€™m installing it right now and probably gonna give it another try, but no one should hold their breath.

Edit: Donā€™t know what type of character Iā€™m gonna make yetā€¦

I actually really enjoy it.

Love the characters and love the synergy spells have.

I have it modded so I can have six characters in my party too (as opposed to 4)

Planning on getting some mods, especially that one. I hate having to always decide who Iā€™m gonna take along this time.

I donā€™t mind it so much, like despite the mod i still have runs with 4 characters.

But Iā€™m really loving this 6 necromancer thing and am looking to improve on it.
