i don’t really play the campaigns so hee hee

just don’t want to meet intentionally-made-OP civs in every game right now :pensive: :fist:

:rage:

No idea about the Bohemians yet tbh but I don’t think the Poles are overpowered

:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I don’t think I’ve actually played campaigns of… literally any game. If there’s a custom option, I’m only playing those. Story modes etc don’t really interest me much.

Bohemians seem OP but sort of one-trick. Poles are kinda strong with what they can do, but at least not oppressively so as Bohemians might be, or how Lords/DE civs were at launch.

Let’s hope the maths is wrong because I’ve been through this rodeo over and over again and it’s getting rather close for comfort

Most recent ones I’ve done were BTSX Ep2, Eviternity and Refracted Reality (proper trippy), plus some random 1 map wads. Can defo recommend these.

And yeah Sunlust was amazing, it got brutally hard after half way through, but it was still 10/10 for me :+1: Very poggers to hear

Just found out I can’t romance the Queen in Wrath of the Righteous if I’m not on the

Angel or Aeon Mythic Paths.

So I guess that’s going to be a third playthrough then…

Best of luck, sincerely.

Sunlust was fun, I think I played it in multiplayer (Zandronum/Skulltag go brrrr) in Survival etc, though the infamous Chillax was the main WAD played in multiplayer. Sunder 's one of the OG slaughterwads tho so seeing it get updated is definitely very exciting, also the new maps look pretty cool too (though we’ve come to expect no less from the dev too).

Oh damn I misread it as sunlust as first, yeah Sunder’s alright as well but, it’s been worked on for years and they’ve still not finished lol

It’s just one person working on it AFAIK and they’ve just recently come out with new maps (+ there’s other reasons why they stopped working on it something something)

The maps they have are also gigantic so they’re well worth the playing imo. You should really try it out! Pretty sure Chillax copied some of the Sunder maps too. :eyes:

Peeve: moving villagers in minecraft, especially moving them via the nether.
May or may not have had a few casualties out of frustration

GD having a meltdown over Jason Schreier’s some tweet about another (new?) game dev studio being only white and male.

All while the tweet’s point flew right off their head.

Not sure what masochistic pull compels me to look there anyway.

Hate trying to move villagers anywhere.

Game, just let me put a lead on them!

Leads on villagers would be a godsend, I’m just setting up a new villager breeder and conversion station in the future.
I want those cheap trades and my future project is a massive village + hole in the ground for various little shops.

Edit: Also did the move to space out from where my gf is gonna build probably, lessens lag + I will have full time access to my trades as she has a habit of… not getting her own villagers and using mine so I can’t trade when I need to >:C

Best of luck mate, truly. Lost my mum to it myself, so I’m happy with everyone that doesn’t get it.

One of the things that annoys me with DoS2 is there are no earth staves and 1 earth wand (normally poison).

And the poison wand can only be obtained in Arx.

Don’t get me started. I looked up the origin of Eternal’s combat ā€˜ballet’, and its from a speedrun of Doom 2016 that the devs liked so much that they made it mandatory.

I like to play Doom, all of them prior to Eternal, as methodically as possible. I like to find every secret, I like to know I’ve killed every monster, and have a nice stockpile of ammunition for the guns I like to use ( Mainly the Super Shotgun if I’m being honest, a universally satisfying weapon in Doom ).

I can’t play like that in Eternal. I have to keep switching weapons, have to keep jumping around like a lunatic gibbon, have to keep chainsawing, flame belching, ice blasting( honestly worthless without it’s upgrades! ), meat hooking…

It’s just way too fast paced, and demands way too much precision from me. I just want to shotgun imps, not have to go through the game trying to remember to alternate between sniping off revenant cannons or using sticky bombs on every arachnatron I see.

I suppose if I played it a lot more it’d become second nature but Doom 2016 really was just more my thing.

Edit: That’s not to say Doom Eternal is bad. I like loads about it. I like the collectibles, I like the Doom Slayer skins, I like the map design ( although Cultist Base can go screw itself ), I like the sound effects, the monster designs which harken back to the original Doom, esp the Zombie Soldiers, I -adore- the soundtrack.

It’s just not the kind of shooter I enjoy. Prodeus is fast paced, Doom 2 is fast paced, and I massively enjoy these games because the fast paced action comes in really managable chunks. Even the most chaotic battle in Doom 2, or a slaughtermap WAD, is way more manageable than the combat in Eternal. Eternal is paced for someone who isn’t me.
