Pet peeves: The return (Part 2)

Getting Rickrolled in Limsa!

Was about to ask if it was you Sindri, but its not.

Its my least visited place.

Shame, its my main hang out.

Followed by Ul’dah for some bizarre reason.

Well i was doing a dungeon that resembles late night limsa, this dungeon is known as the burn.

Is that cuz the desert is thirsty y’all?

Yes.

I like Limsa, its a pirate city.

Also, its the most convenient to do the server-hop-shop (because market board is right next to the main aetheryte)

I like Gridania and the firmament (because fetes).

DBD makes me salty, lowest rank 1 perk Nemi vs top rank full meta perk survs (:
Don’t care about escapes n such, just annoyed its such a non-fun matchmaking rn

Wow, I wish I had tried Gunbreaker earlier! Such amazing animations, so fun mechanically - and it seems it will only get better in EW, more complexity without keybind bloat!

My biggest complaint with it stands - sure, I am sure the guard stance is historically accurate or something but that doesn’t change that it looks ruthlessly silly for tanking. But I will tolerate it.

The class doesn’t vibe with my IC concept but I will tolerate that too.

And I find myself not liking Hrothgar at all so the teacher being one I don’t vibe with either but that is kinda whatever.

Also it is kinda funny how to explain the class you have to go through a navy seal copypasta about how the gunblade is actually named after a person (don’t mind the revolver mechanism in the weapon!!) and no shut up it’s not related to the other gunblades with actual rifle barrels and the class name ‘gunbreaker’ is named so because it counters guns (the weapons, not the person) and -

Finished ARR (apparently the worst part of FFXIV???)

Now I shall move on to Heavensward. WoW? Never heard of that game. Sylvanas? Who is that? Where am I? How can one game be so good?

With the MSQ cleared until Endwalker, all I can really say is “that was a great time.”

I’m glad we get to talk to the major villains and find out what they want and why they’re doing what they’re doing.

Imagine

Shadowbringers spoilers Emet Selch written by Blizzard, vaguely mumbling about shards and cycles before fart blasting away after telling you to buy a washing machine. Come back next patch, and buy the book Emet book sucker!

I’m so tired of WoW’s overly vague storytelling that feels specifically made so Pyromancer (lol) would make eighteen lore videos to give the game free advertising. Oh boy, yet another cinematic that goes as follows!

Question or statement

music swells with a pregnant pause, as the camera zooms in on character’s face

one-liner that reuses a word from question or statement

hard-cut to black synced to a drum beat

So, what are you favorite zones?

I think Il Mheg is my favorite.

Shadowbringers spoilers again Especially once you've defeated the Lightwarden and brought back the night. The castle's so pretty.

But all of the Shadowbringers zones have great ambiance. Especially when the music stops and all you hear is the chiming of the Everlasting Light. Kholusia’s music is something else too.

Today the most active core of our guild finally all got our characters ready for RP (complete MSQ etc) and our first session was a delight! I finished it a while ago so I’ve been getting some sneaky solo sessions in with strangers but now the real game starts.

Alright I’m joining in.

If the rainforests were meant to exist there wouldn’t be so many horrible creatures living in them.

I’m reminded of a video where a seemingly unremarkable guy grabs some 20 firearms including a shotgun that were hidden all over his body in his clothes.

What is removing backpacks supposed to do?

Yeah far as I’ve seen I’m glad I just played the beta and then never touched the game again, it seems prone to intensely unfun gameplay

What does that say about Australia?

An affront to mother nature itself.

Pretty sure that’s one of the main reason some people just bailed on Shadowlands and Wow entirely. The story is much cooler in the weird mind of the writers than it is for the players. It required the complete retcon and gutting of a simple straightforward story all the way back in W3 to even give their low tier fanfic any semblance of credence.

Besides, they utterly underestimated the ability for players to… Predict their nonsense, we’re always way ahead of them. If all you have to offer is garbage shock value and cliffhangers, distributed to you in the same format as their renown system, then it speaks volumes of their supposed competence as writers.

They completely failed in that regard, heck even now nobody got a real idea what was the enemy’s goal, it’s so vague it can mean anything as well.

It’s stuff I’ve already said before, but it feels good saying it again.

I’m pretty fond of all of them (except Kholusia) in Shadowbringers.

if the zone’s not doing it for me then the music is.

Kholusia has the problem of being sickly green in colour which gives me a headache and i’m not overly fond of the music

Kholusia Dungeon Spoilers

Mt. Gulg not having the ShB boss theme remix annoys me too

Was that maybe this clip from the Michael Moore documentary “Bowling for Columbine?”
