Pet peeves: The return (Part 2)

what copium

instead as you can see, i have drawn you as a soyjak pointing at yet another ffxiv track

Depends on which ones, there’s a huge difference between some and others.

I definitely went into ARR and felt the trial boss music was pretty zzz (the alliance raid music was good though).

What did you just say about Footsteps in the Snow?

Aaaaand Fallen Angel…

Who even are you right now?

I said what I said.

Same goes for HW trials.

Luckily music in later expansions took another direction for the most part.

wow this is the most beautiful song ive ever heard!! so emotional!!!

[its some generic orchestral thing until a basic electric guitar starts playing and a woman says something]

Your opinion is wrong, as all opinions that are not mine are!

These are the ones I can’t stand. This style of music (rock or whatever it is) is just annoying noise to my ears.

and it’s all the most predictable cliches of an orchestral game music as well

it’s why i hate wod music so much, they overdid it so badly very often (and sure, in some cases it was ok/good, but the rest was just so argh)

like, i get it - you like listening to two steps from hell, you can shut up now  :grimacing:

I have a peeve unrelated to this -
Why in the bloody hell are British trains so damned expensive?
And why has mine to go back to my folks not been on time for over a month?!

The music+aesthetic is honestly why I mostly vibe in Ishgard/Foundation, just all so good :weary:

We have to power them with organically-sourced trans women so you can imagine the expense there

Luckily, from where you are onwards (aside from HW max-level trial series) it gets a lot better, with those sorts of themes becoming much rarer.

I can’t even remember Oribos music, whereas the Ishgard theme went straight to my playlist immediately after I reached Heavensward and heard it for the first time.

J.K. Rowling and the LGB Alliance wouldn’t stand for money being used on that.

Wow fans be like “this song really shows Orcish pride despite them being lead by a smarmy emaciated elf”

And then the song sounds like an Orc with constipation :sunglasses:

UG… THRAK… RAH… NEED PILLS… LOK… GASH…
