Pet peeves: The return (Part 2)

This + WoW hasn’t gave us much to talk about recently and any discussion it has given people to talk about are either morbidly disgusting (breast milk banditry) or they’re 9.2 spoilers, which reside on the 9.2 thread.

Didn’t watch Arcane, probably never will. But Arcanebros are more than welcome to discuss it on a public forum.

We also get Warhammered often.

Again, probably never will play a Warhammer game myself, but they are welcomed to talk about it if they so wish!

I have also directed people talking about it in other threads to talk about it in here.

It’s a bit of a cope to come to the forum of a game that you no longer play, to talk about something that is essentially irrelevant to most of us. Is it that hard to make your own discord or something?

me with any popular thing that I don’t get in on quick enough
antihype is real
I try to make it not be real, but it is
same thing happened with undertale

As I mentioned, a conversion of a number of well known and not so well known WoW/WC3 items into DnD 5e, including 8 item sets (2 per armour level).

Don’t worry about the shaman mentions, that’s for a warlock subclass I’ve not finished writing.

I play both.
And considering this has all topics rolled in, seems a bit of a weird thing to complain about.

Respectfully you’ve had like one post in this thread before now, out of 12000+, and like 8 in the PTR thread (out of 10000+) so like…
You ain’t that wordy about WoW either, clearly.

My peeve is Obilot complaining about us talking about how we enjoy a different game when truly the biggest peeve of all is the current and implied future state of WoW.

And all manner of other games I couldn’t even name because I have no clue what game it might be from the discussion I see. Doesn’t bother me though. People talk about what they want, and what others want to talk with them about.

…Cope? What a curious idea. I simply like AD, I have plenty of friends here, and that transcends WoW itself. Trying to splinter off into some niche discord would entirely defeat the point, accessibility is a big reason why the forums stay afloat.

This is a big factor, Discord et al is already killing of several other game forums and wikis, so being able to post in realm forums without a sub is actually nice

Also like, I was on WoW a few days ago.

attention: this is now an age of empires 2 thread.

you are no longer allowed to post unless you’ve led an empire, thanks.

And if the realm forums had been for active players only, why didn’t they restrict them to currently subbed players like other subforums?

Pretty much this. Pet peeve for the longest time has been a melting pot of all sorts of topics. It’s entirely free-for-all and if you don’t like the ongoing conversation, you can really easily start a new subject. Nerathion and Adelais have no interest in ffxiv, yet nothing stops them from talking about AoE, for instance. And nobody tells them to go elsewhere.

As the primo Emperor Edelgard von Hresvelg fanboy, I’m glad I still get to post.

She did nothing wrong, btw. This is an Azure Moon bullying zone.

There’s like 20+ active threads on the AD realm section, pet peeves has basically an open platform for anything ongoing for years at this point. I believe you can even mute threads if its contents are not to your liking.

But yeah FF14 is pretty neat in how it manages to portray people as actual people and not cardboard cutouts that only fall on GOOD or EVIL.

Its really funny that the minute its FF, people are like; “go elsewhere” but turn a blind eye to other topics.

Is that the one with the loud chanting priests during conversions?

Yeah, we had a discussion about FE the other day.
