Had a gander if the firmament restoration expert recipes would be worth doing for my 500k pts grind in all crafters.
My personal consensus is no, despite 1 expert craft giving 820+ pts vs ~80+ for a lvl 80 craft it’s just so much slower.

tonight’s unfortunate wow-related peeve is that im about 350 pulls into sylvanas and it’s a 14 minute fight and wiping after 13 minutes causes me deep pain and suffering

Decided to fire up Starcraft Remastered to check out the story and holy damn did I ever forget how much old RTS games do not care about your time
About the third time I slowly built up an army, sent it across the river and watched as it was instantly mown down by an enemy army that is higher tech level than I can actually make (Goliaths vs marines, fun) I decided I didn’t need to know the story that badly
We’ve discussed blursed FC room ideas and the contenders for the worst so far are:
-Moogle room from our moogle obsessed guy
-“How many Estinien portraits can I put on a wall? Also one Haurchefant in the middle”
-One bathtub and some festive balloons

Not sure I like Meteion and Hermes’ sudden heel turn. Especially Meteion for some reason becoming a typical genocidal AI.

Yeah we kind of took to refering to Hermes as PETA member gone wilder than they are.
Meteion is very easy to figure out her role the moment you learn what she is as well, but imo doesn’t take away from the story much, is just annoying personalities.

Turns out I misremembered the pts gained from the 80 recipes, its only 30pts per turn in requiring me to make 17k of each, but still preferably to the expert ones.

I dont have a problem with her personality though. Infact I enjoyed her company for the most part.
What irks me is that she/her copies were sent into space to make contact and ask a question to anyone they can find out there. That’s it.
Why on earth does she suddenly become your average rogue AI, decides that mankind is better off dead and would have started axing people, had it been up to her at that moment? Like, sure, she can come to that conclusion, but it’s not really up to her to take action, nor is it really in her power.
And, well, Hermes had the fastest Doomer descent in history right there. I felt like it took the wind out of the sails for an otherwise quite compelling zone questline.

Depending on how far you are, it all starts making sense a little later into the story and really gets explained in the last zone especially in the dungeon and trial.

Meteion was an entelechy designed to be extremely closely attuned to the emotions of others.
Hermes was completely naive and thought the universe would give him the secrets of life and happiness, so he sent out beings who cry if they are in the same room as a sad person only for them to encounter a universe full of dying and despairing worlds.
Meteion’s face heel turn makes complete sense. It must have been overwhelming beyond anything we could imagine. Remember that she and her countless sisters are mentally linked too, so what one experienced, they all did.
As for how she got the power, I feel like dynamis and Ultima Thule were well enough introduced? It’s basically dark energy but FFXIV.

They elaborate further. To be honest even after it gets elaborated on, I think it sucks. Feels like a Shin Megami Tensei or Persona game for people who'd never touch one. Everything that wasn't Thavnair or Garlemald was a complete miss for me. As soon as I got to Elpis I was just :neutral_face:Depending on how far Hethes is into the MSQ that is some big spoilers, just want to put that out there.

Genuinely the best hobby I picked up in this lockdown.
I think Prosident’s made a good attempt with it so far. His points risen on the community council have also been very good.
Just because it is hard to have a moderated, good discussion with anonymous people over the internet, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. He is essentially doing what Blizzard devs should have been doing the past 7 years.
I understand their apprehension to it. In fact, the state of the said discord more or less proves the point. But it needs to be done, all the same.
Re: the race q: I think him asking him to explain himself is good, because it revealed how bad the argument was. Him giving the guy space to express himself is actually good because it lets him bag himself with a really bad take.
