imo the combat was fine. satisfactory. ok. not bad.
it had some pretty big game economy issues where resources just entirely stopped mattering after a bit.

Whatâs the deep lore?
A mod from the reddit went on fox news and apparently did so poorly that the subreddit deleted itself out of embarassment.
That tends to be how most open world games end up, and Iâm not entirely sure itâs a problem from a design perspective.
There was a Fox News interview with one of the moderators (after there was a decision to never accept an interview, no less) which was so embarrassing that people on the subreddit started calling out the moderator, they went on a banning spree and swiftly closed the subreddit. The review was truly cringeworthy, with someone super awkward mumbling about walking dogs and philosophy.

The point where resources stop mattering tends to be the point where my interest in the game drops off in a big way in open world games (of the ubisoft far cry/assassins creed ouvre) so unless itâs relatively close to the last stretch, for me, itâs a pretty big issue.
This sounds fantastic. I must needs learn more.

This is the hive of information at the moment, but the tldr is:
AntiWork is a subreddit that has recently gained over a million subscribers and has become a movement for work reform, pushing against captilism and poor working conditions. Mostly centered in the US.
Fox News requested an interview with a representative from the sub since it basically stands against everything they are about. They request a specific mod (the head mod), presumably having done some background research on them.
Head mod agrees to the interview despite the sub as a whole saying they donât want anyone on the media.
Head mod appears on Fox News, is non-binary, autistic didnât and bother to put any effort into their appearance or the appearance of their room. None of that is bad, but it allows Fox News to show a caricature that their viewers will lap up.
She doesnât do well in the interview, and seems to be more interested in not working at all than representing the values of the sub which is more about reforming working hours and practices to be less destructive and more fair. They talk about how they work 20 hours as a dog walker but they want to work less or not at all. Fox News is lapping this up and basically laugh her off.
So this is bad, but it isnât the worst thing in the world right? The sub is furious that misrepresented their movement in such poor fashion, and there is talk that this person should step down and apologise.
Head Mod goes into full on authoritarian mode and starts locking threads, dodging responsibility and refusing to step down. âThis isnât a democracyâ is one reply to a comment that lives on in infamy. They blame the detractors as being transphobes and start throwing out bans and claiming that the sub is being brigaded (by itâs own subscribers somehow) before eventually locking the sub completely so until things blow over.
Things donât blow over, the subs move over to a new, more appropriately named subreddit called r/WorkReform and continue to lambast the basically hypocritical nature of the Head Mod when most of what the sub is about is fighting against corporations that refuse to take responsibility and awful leadership in workplaces.
Unfortunately, Reddit being Reddit there is a huge focus on the appearance and demeanour of the mod in the interview which isnât really the point of the drama at all. The drama is that someone let power get to their head, thought they were the leader of a huge movement but horribly misrepresented it and then imploded their own sub when they wouldnât take responsibility for basically scoring an own goal in the most public forum possible.
This goes from embarrassing to sad and back to embarrassing. Thanks for the breakdown.
Yeah the appearances donât really matter, but when you go on TV especially fox, you should expect yours and your roomâs condition to be used against you, especially if their goal is to just portray you as lazy. They shouldnât have agreed to an interview, as was the plan apparently.
The most tragic thing is that you would expect to get leading and difficult questions on Fox News when they are trying to own you, but they didnât even need to try. All they needed to ask was: âHow old are you and what do you do for a living.â and got everything they needed to paint their lazy millennial bogeyman.
The head mod claimed that they had media training, but nothing about their appearance showed any kind of media training at all.
Itâs a true Reddit moment of someone who believes theyâre important in an echo chamber thinking they can wield that same power outside of it.
The idea of an interview seems pointless to me in the first place. Itâs fox news, you think anything you say on that matter can convince that audience? Youâre not there to convince the interviewers, but the people watching at home and youâd have as much luck peddling communism to that crowd, no?
Essentially why the sub decided against any media representation.
Youâre never going to win out going on something like Fox News.
Just dont go on Fox News. There is a reason it is internationally infamous for being the poster child of misinformation and propaganda.
Still remember back in the dark era when they brought a âswedish expert who had to flee the collapsing countryâ on for an interviews on why the country was âfalling apartâ.
But they neglected to mention that the person was deeply involved with a nordic white supremacist movement thats been classified as a terrorist organisation by the nordic countries, had several convictions of violence, and had actually left the country due to being wanted for tax evasion.
Sounds like they were in good company then.
This was like mid 2018, so the height of the orange man cult era, so very much so.
feels like it was all just a dream
A nightmare.
And also such a in the end, pointless era. It did absolutely nothing positive for the world, and all it brought about was a bunch of problems that now needs to be fixed. It caused alot of anxiety and problems for people all over the world, let alone the country, massive problems to world relations globally, massive issues to the environment, set back various peace treaties & progress globally decades, normalized some really foul behavior and attitudes, and much more like it.
And ended on a terrorist attempt to overthrow a democratically elected government, with only a handful of token drones being given arbitrary minor punishments for it in the end.
It was all so pointless and just set back the worldâs progress & overall mental health about 10-20 years.
All because âown the libs lolâ
they owned me real good
But at what cost?
there is no cost too high to own the mighty akamito and bring him low
The main advice I can give, other than the diff setting, is to take time to learn the weapons. And do get the weapons, especially the slings and war bow.
Certain enemies that are, otherwise, a massive pain in the rear, I suddenly found becoming much easier when certain elemental weak points carved off 3/4 of their HP. As an AoE.
