Pet peeves: The return (Part 2)

yeah weed culture was wild because it was something rebellious that teens could engage in that wasn’t too off the rails. now that it’s well on the path to legalisation it’s dropped off considerably

i didn’t even need weed to get that. i remember sometimes i’d do 24+ gaming sessions and would start having some really wild visions and thoughts

i distinctly remember trying to look at the WoW clock in the corner of my screen while i was awake and out in the world to see what time it was

the real world doesn’t have a clock just sitting in the top right of my vision it turns out

It’s also worth asking how the sub gained traction so quickly, too. Reddit is an utter propaganda mill, perhaps it’s my own cynicism talking but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s growth was encouraged just so something like that would happen.

Ultimately i doubt nothing serious will ever be born from Reddit, save for driving innocent people to suicide by their sleuthing.

We did it Reddit. :relieved:

Stress.

honestly with the amount of hate the mod that took the interview is getting, i’d be genuinely worried that they are being driven in that direction. while the main thrust of the backlash was nothing to do their identity, there are plenty of people on reddit who went directly to transphobia and other genuinely vile talk

Yeah 100%. Social media and its consequences have been devastating to mankind etc.

Hey, that’s wrong. Wholly incorrect.

The poor guy was already dead and had been for a while, and they harassed his mourning family.

The FBI already had info on the actual bomber and were looking to take him quietly and without a scene, but because this family was being harassed based on the amazing evidence of “he disappeared around that time” they had to immediately go for his arrest. The bomber found out, turned violent and shot a security guard.

We did it reddit indeed.

This is, surprisingly, one thing WoW averted that one time. During MoP.

They actually made separate quests that referred to the passage of time differently, which replaced the original ones once the next patch hit. And it was only MoP that did that. They stopped doing that.

weird. it’s not like blizzard to have a good idea in one expansion and then completely forget about it or replace it in the next

Pet Peeve: FF14’s insistance that my character somehow considers Lady Iceheart a friend despite, you know, all the horrible stuff she’s done. I’ve only gotten to

Spoileoni Talking to the dragon that vored an elf he was dating saying that the war is basically a very refined torture device to exact a profoundly large and ludicrous vengeance on anything remotely Ishgardian and the fact that she’s been praying to a false god this whole time (who could have guessed).

So maybe it gets better.

At least they gave Alphinaud real clothes, thank god.

Fair, I stand corrected.

However, I’m now not sure what’s worse.

That part was supposed to come across as more satirical, but it doesn’t come through as well through text. I apologize if I came across as condescending.

Back to the serious stuff, situation was horrible all around. Can’t help but feel for the family. Can’t imagine how it feels to not only lose a family member, but to have a bunch of sweaty strangers dig up your private information and call you to tell you how he’s a monster based on incredibly flimsy evidence that wouldn’t pass in a children’s mystery novel.

Internet vigilantism never goes well.

I hate reddit in general. The website is fine, I use a lot of filters to get all my gaming news in one convenient place. But the community is awful and is comprised of the most irritating kids you knew at school. It’s full of those straight C students who weren’t half as smart as they thought they were but swore that it wasn’t that they couldn’t do math, it was the system rigged against them.

I only started using Reddit maybe 3 years ago. I browse r/all through the day to see what’s going on in the world, but it’s pretty much just echo chambers talking politics and not much else so I take everything I see there with a grain of salt.

I make sure that my home page is filled only with good and wholesome subreddits, like r/WoW.

Gunna retreat to the woods and become a bushman me.

Just me. Nature. And a painfully crippling death by tetanus. :relieved:

Just as God intended. Perfect.

Gunna fin’ me a Wendigo waifu.

I joined it six years ago upon hearing that it had a large writing community and let me tell you, my younger self learned true disappointment that day. r/writing isn’t filled with interesting writing discourse, it’s filled with a mix of very optimistic teenagers who think their anime idea is going to make them super rich so they won’t have to work a day in their lives. Then you have the opposite end of the spectrum, boomers who haven’t read a book in their life and don’t know the current market boasting about their amazing fantasy novel idea that hasn’t even been noted down in a word document.

Ultimately, removing the age factor from it all, it’s filled with people who love the idea of being a novelist but don’t actually want to put in the work to become a novelist, so every day you’re going to find the same eight or so inane questions that could be solved by either

  1. Just writing your first draft, it’s not final and you can fix imperfections.

  2. Reading a book. Any book. Take your pick.

Wrath of the Righteous DLC1 is dropping 15th of Feb.

We appear to be going to fight some interdimensional robots, just like in Shadowlands.

Also worth pre-planning the skill tree a bit. Blitzing all the 1-cost skills is easy and worthwhile. Stuff that increases slow-mo/focus time and your health kit are also good. The one I really got mileage out of this time though was the early skill that slows time while you slide or jump while aiming.
It’s worth spamming that. It makes fights a lot easier to aim or catch your breath, and doesn’t deplete the normal meter. Hope that helps!
