Pet peeves: The return (Part 2)

oh yeah forgot about that. which means he makes her into a vampire to save her

Also I forget if they put it in the movie but as memory serves Bellaā€™s now-vampire stomach was too strong to be cut open by mortal implements like a scalpel, so in order to do the c-section for the kid, Edward had to bite open her belly with his vampire teeth.

I actually think they did. Also, Renesmee is only half-vampire.

I have to wonder if meyer was traumatised by a difficult pregnancy or something.

Which is a stroke of genius, because one would expect that you can only ever be full vampire or not at all.

Very clever subversion of expectations.

I couldā€™ve gone my whole life not knowing Twilight lore and Iā€™d have been happier for it

The time spent reading all that is time Iā€™ll never get back.

This scene should make up for it.

I am not watching that and instead Iā€™m going to tell you that Lich is short for Lichard

Wrath of the Lichard King

You gained knowledge but your mind and spirit is forever scarred. Itā€™s all very lovecraftian and Iā€™m not convinced all young adult fiction of that era wasnā€™t ghostwritten by Nyarlathotep as a prank.

I miss the time where Vampires were scary monsters instead of the fetishized BDSM and attractive boys band like that theyā€™ve become.

Someone needs to watch What We Do in the Shadows.
