Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

Can’t speak for Baldur’s Gate, but Divinity is great fun, especially if you’re playing with friends. It’s unfortunate I played it right after I finished Disco Elysium. In comparison to the writing in that game, Divinity feels like it was written by a low-end Stormwind RPer. Lots of fantasy redditspeak gobbledygook.

It’ll get out of early access right after The Elder Scrolls VI comes out and shortly after the Cyberpunk expansion. I might get it as a gift for my grandchildren. If they invent some kind of life-prolonging technology, I might even get to see Mount and Blade come out of early access.

No definitive date but they’ve said probably 2023 for a release. They’ve got a few more classes and such still to add in early access and CRPGs are notorious for needing trial by player to fix bugs

A dangerous word.

Larian have been pretty clear about ‘the game’s ready when it’s ready’ but that was the ballpark they gave!

No clue im a casual with most rpg/type titles tbf, be hearing mad good things n always arriving late to the party

I’m pretty sure they confirmed 2023 recently.

Yeah I get what you mean, probably wouldnt be my thing really.

Golden rule: Until you’re playing it, any date is a lie.

Peeve: Content removal from WoW.

Battle for Undercity, where Varian tries to execute Thrall and declares war on the Horde? Fingersnapped, gone.
Wrathion’s quests might be kind of important in Dragonflight, or maybe not, but you can’t do them either way. Remember when he was tripping out on Titan visions after nomming down Lei Shen’s heart? Not anymore!
Teldrassil’s incineration? The entire War of Thorns? Unplayable. Hope you were subbed for the BfA prepatch, otherwise you can never do it. How did all the Night Elves die? The worst way possible: Off screen.

We are almost done with pinax memes, I can smell that P4S pt2 already

Thanks for reminding me how much I hate the un-living world that WoW ironically is :upside_down_face:

Currently still got a Not Good throat, so breathing is a bit of a challenge right now. So, of course, my peeve is - why is there like NO HEMA stuff in the UK?! There’s more in AMERICA than there is here for heck sakes, and that kind of defeats the point of Historical EUROPEAN Martial Arts?!
Bah. We don’t even have jousting as a common sport. BAH, I say!

“Experience the whole of Warcraft’s story by levelling in any zone!”

“Oh, cool! Can I do this scenario? I loved that.”

“NO >:U”

I can only give you one :blue_heart: but I’d give you a hundred for this. It’s so frustrating.

Man isn’t it great how new players start with Battle for Azeroth, so they get to experience all the crisp high quality cinematics that Blizzard is known and loved for.

Remember Old Soldier, where we first meet Zekhan? Or Lost Honour, where Anduin confronts Saurfang? It was so cool to see that in game.

OH WAIT.
NO IT WASN’T
Because it was never IN the game! It was only ever on youtube dot com!

They managed to correctly add the finale of the War Campaign in there, so that’s nice, but uhhhh guess they forgot about the rest of it. Oh well, I’m sure it’s not a big deal. Not like Saurfang’s motivations were important or anything.

Finished WotR as a Gold Dragon and I am sadly let down. Certainly not bad by any means but a pretty weak story, which is a real shame when it also tanks whatever storyline you were on before switching by ending it suddenly and on a downer.

The GD-specific ending also leaves a lot to be desired compared to the incredible Angel and Aeon ones I’ve seen.

Oh well, back to the Lich mines

Hopefully the Enhanced Edition with promised improvements to late game paths fixes that somewhat.

Also removed why on earth Nathanos had Knaifu before Nazjatar.

Who knows why he had it? I don’t, i never did the quests before they were removed.
