When you get the name Kodama for one of your retainers.
rat for the soul
Mtg has revealed a new bonus set/secret lair project called âPride across the multiverseâ with a bunch of older cards being updated+with new lgbtq+ artwork. 50â° of all purchases will also be going towards a project for suicide prevention among lgbtq+ youths.
The cards are very gay and wonderful. But apparantly its too much to handle for some people and there has been a spike in hateful and really foul comments and behaviour among the general mtg communities.
So thats a peeve.
its disgusting to see in this day and age. its always welcome to see something done to promote LGBTQ+ in a good way and even more so when it helps to benefit the vulnerable. imagine being so threatened by a persons orientation youâd rather see them off themselves.
im convinced as a race were devolving not evolving
The one thats really set people off is a card called âBearscapeâ.
Love the artwork for its new look.
Edit:
I actually miscalculated, I am 17 out of 19 GARO titles (titles not sorted by catagory makes me sad)
Just got GNB and WAR left!
Do have 9 series levels before I get my Archfiend armour however.
Luckily I got other pvp sets to grind for my retainers.
itâs wonderful
the series of puns, the stretch marks on the guy in front, the top surgery scars on the white guy on the left
absolutely perfect
Itâs a whole thing right now with certain people calling anything lgbt âgroomingâ.
Gloriously funny.
itâs a real shame that WotC has once again put their foot in their mouth by not selling this secret lair to various countries - the notable one being Brazil, which does not have any kind of law which might make this impossible to sell - and then offering a tweet thread that is like 5 tweets long and somehow still worse than saying nothing
their corporate leadership sucks so, so much
I hate it. Imagine how gay the multiverse could be internationally.
Itâs been a thing for quite some time.
As far back as 2013, there were people complaining loudly about the presence of black characters in the inspired-by-Greek-mythlogy plane of Theros.
In 2015, there was complaining about the first transgender character in the form of Alesha, who earned the right to a name according to her clanâs customs and chose the name of her grandmother. There was a lot of vitriol surrounding her.
Then there were complaints about the presence of black characters in the inspired-by-gothic-horror plane of Innistrad, the existence of the inspired-by-subcontinental-Indian-aesthetics plane of Kaladesh and the presence of black characters in the inspired-by-Egyptian-mythology plane of Amonkhet.
I fell out of the loop after War of the Spark but for roughly the past ten years, there has been constant complaining about:
- the depiction of non-white characters
- the depiction of non-heterosexual characters
- the depiction of non-cisgendered characters
- the depiction of female characters who donât look traditionally attractive
- the depiction of female characters who arenât dressed in traditionally attractive clothes
- the depiction of female characters who belong to any physically demanding profession or engage in any physically demanding activity
So any outrage surrounding this new Secret Lair isnât a surprise to me.
Still mad Chandra was made retroactivly ultra-straight with this.
Alesha is in the secret lair as a trans elder!!
She has a new girlfriend now :3
Still not sure what the truth of that situation was. Author said that he wrote that segment according to strict instructions from Wizards of the Coast, Wizards of the Coast said that they let the author write whatever he wanted and werenât aware of this at all and disavowed that entire novel. Everyone seemed pretty eager to shift the blame to someone else.
Im out of the loop in lore, who?! One of the vamps or Cathar?
Regardles of who ultimately made the decision, WotC holds the blame for letting it get published in the first place with that in it.
A Cathar on innistrad named Adeline
she pretty
