Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

Been off for a while with sickness and just general life stress pulling me down.

But I made a shed ton of progress with Endwalker over the last few days and have just reached the dungeon at the end of Labyrinthos which I need to do tonight. There’s only one more zone left according to my travel log but I have no idea what it is yet.

Some takeaways from what I’ve seen recently.

I’m pretty sure I’m straight, however I would have literally zero objections to being topped by Emet Selch at some point. I was worried they were overusing him in Elpis but I liked what they did with him. Hydropump too seemed like a cool character and I miss them already.

Not sure if I’m following what the hell went on the final days properly or not. It was cool to see Venat doing her thing. It led to a discussion between me and my friend about which Azem we are actually sundered from though, he thinks it’s Venat where I think it’s her succesor that is talked about by Emet and Hydropump as being a bit out there and unpredictable. I was sure that at the start of Elpis that Hydropump said that we bore their soul. Idk, maybe one of you mega nerds can fill me in without ruining the end of the story.

Zenos randomly showing up at the end of the big fight in Garlemald to save the refugees was hillarious. My man so desperately wants me to fight him. The best part of it though was Alisae hitting him with a full on zeta flare roast telling him he is a no lifer that no one will even give the time of day. He walked away all stoicly but I just know he went into a dark corner to cry after that.

I kept asking myself where the hell Cid was during all of this, and then right as I sent my friend a text asking him why Cid wasn’t showing up, he appeared. Good to see him again.

The role story in Limsa is alright, but nothing to write home about. Taking command of the Company of Heroes feels like just rewards for suffering through their quests back in Realm Reborn, and they appropriately acknowledge that.

Urianger getting closure for Moon Breeder (yes) was a great moment that I didn’t need but was really happy to see. He’s one of my favourite Scions so glad to see him getting an emotional moment.

All in all I’m enjoying things and looking forward to probably taking the SSV Normandy that the Sharlayns have built in their basement to go and fight bird hair in deep space.

My friend sympathises with Fandaniel. But I don’t.

The most annoying part immediately after unlocking the soul crystal:

Your friend is wrong.

Summary

Venat/Hydaelyn is unsundered. You’re the successor Azem to her.

I don’t blame you. This game has stupidly many attractive male characters. It was, in fact, the first game I played that made me feel something for a male character. For me, it was a certain dark-skinned bunnyboy and to a lesser extent a certain companion of the character you mentioned.

i can understand his pov but will never condone it. being the sole doomer on a world of bloomers must be rough.

my favourite was doma. the dream team of stormblood back together again…

my favourite part of endwalker tho was learning a dragon shared the same va as gosetsu which was nice

he decides that actually letting bird hair off to destroy the universe is based and resets the memories so she has a fair shot at it.

like my man i know you’re a bit bummed out about the way things are but omg that’s a bit harsh

yeah thats kinda where my understanding stopped and where i started to look weird at ppl who shipped with him aggressively

Men will literally doom the entire universe instead of going to therapy :pensive:

He’s a nice softboy who can be ‘fixed’ with the love of a man/woman, he’s hypercharged shipperfuel.

i hate how in character that would be for him

KH2’s characterisation of Seifer is absolutely spot on, no doubt.

reminded me that i never finished kingdom hearts 2. i did that intro sequence and then never came back to it

i’m still gradually working on my final fantasy series playthrough, chipping away slowly at 5 which i’ve never played before. 6 i’ve played before but in ancient times so that will be fun to do again. but after that it’s all games i’ve played before, with 7, 8 & 9 having been played nearly to death.

not sure how i’m going to play 13 though, it’s available on pc but i kind of need it on console.

Seifer:-
Kills Odin with a single blow
Kidnaps Presidents for his sort of girlfriend
Owns lamers (with undeniable proof)

Is he the perfect man? Maybe.

I believe he kidnapped him before he even met her because he thought it was the right solution to the issue (it wasn’t). The only reason he let him go was because she turned up and asked him to sub to her OnlySorcerers which he was very much down for.

raijin and fujin thought so
