I know that the modding tools work, but the jury’s out on when the workshop is coming back.
I did hear from the modders themselves that many things are more complicated to mod now than before. I hope that won’t hurt the mod diversity of the game.
I’ve seen that a few times. A few things left over from other TW code was also removed, someone was saying, which some mods used.
I’m hoping that the balance patch next month brings workshop.
CA is working on this stuff, at least. This video highlighted some issues, and the creator said two days ago that CA said they will fix the issues in it.
Do what I do in some of these cases; one personal battle for cinematic awesomeness and if too many losses are inevitable, load the save and autoresolve a favourable win since you already saw the win happen in person.
Or just replay until you get it right and turnthat Phyrric into a Decisive victory.
When disney bought star wars we all knew it’d produce schlock and maybe a couple of gems. The continuing Marvelification along a proven franchise model for maxium profit over artistic vision erodes it further.
a weak series (imo) carried by basically having two episodes of the mandalorian in the middle
which in itself is a huge frustration because if mandalorian season 3 drops, boba fett is required viewing and i don’t like that trend at all
having a connected cinematic universe is cool in principle but i’m just wary that we’re going to approach a point where everything that disney releases is required viewing to follow an overarching narrative and i’m just not about that
Milking the 30 to 50somethings who grew up with Thing while also trying to rope in the young’uns with fresh, easily digested content leaves nobody happy and this continuous fallback on nostalgia culture to remake and self reference into a perpetual profit machine is ruining art for a generation.
I wouldn’t mind a Qui-Gon Jinn force ghost cameo, but that’s about it for me. Better not muddy the story with too many familiar faces showing up for the sake of member berries.
i think for me it’s a bit annoying because i never watched clone wars (except the totally based hand drawn samurai jack style one) and characters and plot points from there are coming through into the new stuff
which is cool for those who watched it but i have literally no desire to go back and watch 8 season of a kids show from 10 years ago. i tried but i just couldn’t do it after the first three episodes
This is fair, but I will say that despite the 3D clone wars mostly being Obviously A Kid’s Show the final few episodes are genuinely incredible cinema and it’s worth watching the series for context alone
[Rebels is deece but you can skip it]
Speaking of stars wars, I finally got to Knights of the Fallen Empire in SWTOR and it’s such a severe jump in quality that it shocked me - the base game and first two expansions are like a solid 7-8/10 and Fallen Empire so far is an easy 9
I enjoyed Fallen Empire, and yeah the jump in quality is huge.
The sacrifice though is that they basically go from being an MMO to a single player RPG. You very rarely if at all encounter anyone else in the world and you can’t co-op the campaign.
But yes, it’s like getting mcdonalds for dinner and being like ‘this is pretty good! I am enjoying this!’ and then dessert is a perfectly handcrafted artisan baked alaska with gold leaf served by Lana, your wife
