If we go by OP alone, a meme response about how ppl are gay panic mad about Incubi is a bad thing for WoW to add.
But in the end, everything in WoW is annoying to some people. If not making homophobes bad is a design goal for you, then idk - log off the internet or something. The incubi isnât the problem at all, which was what the tweet was about. I CBA reading through a thread or dig into everyoneâs past tweets (especially now that Twitter is very annoying to use w/o an account anyway).
The person also brings up Legion being apparently very well designed, but Iâm sure Boush can tell you about how Legion brought the worst mechanic into the game yet (Borrowed Power). Youâll find someone being annoyed at anything, you canât please everyone lol.
They literally ended up dissecting up a meme post lmao. Since itâs GD, Iâm also not surprised it ends up carrying a homophobic undertone.

It was well designed but it DID bring borrowed power which has got worse and worse as the expansions run on.
Name a more iconic duo.
For me Legion was the expansion that revived my love for this game and itâs world. It had issues, Broken Shore for example, but overall as a package I thought it was a really strong expansion.
It frustrates me that theyâve moved forward by only taking the worst elements of that format and making the things that made it good worse.

So in the end, different people like different stuff, Iâm sure some ppl enjoyed the Artefacts and some people hated the grind, or the Legendaries, or w/e. If you remove something because it annoys someone, youâll be left with nothing.
And again, itâs always based to make homophobes mad.

Honestly if itâs one thing Iâve learned about the WoW community in general, it is that if (some) people get mad or annoyed at anything being added involving something like the Incubus/gay character/dark skin tones, then it is ultimatly always due to prejudice no matter what they say.
âItâs not in the lore, so its bad!â about black elves etc. Never seen it NOT be due to the person mad just not liking the thing normally/being bigoted.
