sometimes wrath is necessary and just

the fear of wrath is behind so much progress over the past century

Hard to believe that the country that once helped save us from fascism… well… I’m just gonna quote WoD Gul’dan from cinematic again. 25-35 seconds

my wife is flying to Italy for a wedding in a few weeks. she’s never not been with the kids overnight at any point, so she’s really anxious about it. equally i’ve never been alone with them for more than a day so it’s going to be an interesting challenge for me

but more than anything i think it will do my wife so much good for her to have a few days without the pressure of parenting and to spend time with her family and friends.

As long as you don’t get unreasonably weird about your kid not knowing how to open a tin of beans I think you’ll be fine.

That is oddly specific.

The fascist know where power resides. The ephemeral politicians in the capitol, swapped around frequently can be swept away and replaced by favourable candidates. Lifetime supreme court appointments in the favour of abolishing rights however must be protected at all costs or decades of uncontested dominance goes away.

Always been told throughout both teenage years and early 20’s that I’ll never be able to work so like yourself, was a shut-in. Now I found some spirit to try and prove them wrong… So found a little place to help out at. :astonished:

It’s the best way to do it for sure. I started by helping out in my a local church coffee shop as a volunteer and it taught me a lot about myself and what I was capable of.

I’m hoping you find it to be a valuable experience.

Given how much of natsee policy was lifted wholesale from American eugenics which was a popular field of ‘science’, and the USA imprisoned Japanese civilians in concentration camps while recruiting natsee scientists and officials in places like NASA, they really didn’t do a whole lot of saving

I’d have left a message, but sadly there was no message book.

A good heap of old, smelly brown politics just got a fresh coat of paint post ww2 but it’s flaking off in recent years. Fascism wasn’t defeated but rebranded very efficiently in the french new right as an ideological heart of a new movement hostile to postwar refugees. The peculiar german-centric variety did get pushed down but culturally since the cold war, brown nationalism has been easily equated with liberalism and vauge freedom as opposed to stalinist feudal authoritarianism.

The preexisting problem of american christian imperialism is just too uncomfortable to address globally, like a growing tumour wrapped around blood vessels.

Extreme right-wing populism is just very easy to use for quick brief power by scapegoating every issue on something else.

Considering so many countries across the world, let alone Europe have these groups in strong positions, it would be hypocritical of them to go after the US for their actions. Especially when many of them straight up believe the same things.

In other news, the Swedish christian party did a complete 180/re-brand over a few days following the events in the US. For decades, they have been vocal about how abortions are sinful/immoral etc and the current party leader has been fanning those flames even more(among with every other awful thing she does). Until this weekend, where they quietly removed all mentions of the topic at all from all their websites and social media. The only thing they’ve said on it since was that the party leader demanded a “contract” to be written about how it shouldn’t be discussed in Sweden, saying both simultaneously that it’s under no threat here, but that the “left” is trying to spread panic and anti-christian values.

The rest of the government just said that a contract is pointless and instead all parties(except Left(V), Christian Party(KD) and the ww2 bad guys(SD) ) want to make it a constitutional right, with the left party saying they are considering it, but need to make sure that there is budget to cover it. The other two just refuses to speak on the matter.

The latter follow the orthodoxy of their sister/budded brown movements that the true-blooded must outbreed the “invaders”, removing so-called foreigners two generations removed from immigration by return to their “home countries” so as to make the country paler.

It’s aesthetics and optics, and thus far not something one simply states in an election year but the policy is functionally identical and the disagreement lies whether to keep smiling and talk about traditional culture and architecture or march with appropriated norse runes and shouting about race and banning mosques.

So of course there’s opposition to women’s autonomy as anything but broodmares for the nationalist state. They’ve not quite managed to cannibalize the allegedly christian party the way their danish equivalent did but many are drawn to the party anyway since the alternative is too tepid about the role of women in a christian country. Culturally speaking, the fundamentalists are often part of branches of american evangelical movements and related prosperity gospel cults.
