It used to have people speaking about their daily lives (a laptop being broken) or a peeve in the Warcraft setting. People who’d speak about, say, other videogames were rather sporadic. And I even recall a time in which IRL politics would not enter these forums. Not out of animosity, but simply because they were not as pervasive in some people’s lives. Am I making things up? 
You could come to an RP event. We have a list of upcoming ones on the Chaos RPC Discord (there isn’t a list of recurring Roleplay Roulette events on the Chaos Archives website, specifically this week, for technical reasons — I’ll fix that).
Though I would be on board for an OOC meet, too.

I will be honest here and say that is a big mood killer, I don’t like having to rely on discord for events etc 
so when the archives are up again I will have a look.

I didn’t play Overwatch, so I don’t know for certain.
Well, I played it once. My school got new high-end PCs for classes that used any relatively intensive software. So we had a class where we tested those out by playing Overwatch.

As a general rule you “should” make your new characters overpowered to start with so that people play them to step out of their comfort zones of what they’re used to, then nerf them down relatively quickly.
Releasing a new underpowered character is a death sentence.

Takeout place I was going to order from is shut today.

The Archives are and have been up, but not all events were posted there.
I’ve just posted Roleplay Roulette events for this week — you can view them at https://chaosarchives.org/event-calendar . They run every Monday to Friday at 18:00 server time (UTC).
Skaven new start positions are also out.
I’m sure you can relate that while things like this are nice I’m mostly just wanting to get my claws in it and see what modders come up with - start positions have been fluid for me for a while, and things like changing Lokhir and Alberic into sea-horde factions would be incredibly neat

Putting Alberic in Lustria still feels like an odd one. But at least Marcus isn’t alone now.
One youtuber (loremaster of sotek, great deep dive lore guy) theorised it could be to make space for the Red Duke as later FLC, but even if it’s just to make all the bretonnian LLs feel very different when they can meld into one another very easily otherwise it’s a good change
Alberic especially, who can often get stuck with nothing to do when you take out the Duke and then you’re completely surrounded by allies x)
