Pet peeves: The return (Part 4)

Balmedar turning into his phylactery when he feigns death just got a chuckle out of me.

My avatar is still in her undies. I’m reverting this mog. Experiment over. No more booba.

I wonder what went wrong where to make sure the trading post gear doesn’t display properly. At least it’s not just client side.

Still think it’s the least aweful spcial media site. You decide what content you see, dashboard sorted by when people post and the latest change made it so that you need to log in to send anon asks.

I hate Elden Ring’s bosses.

With maybe the exception of Renalla, they all have BS delayed attacks, spam attacks, stuff you can’t dodge, stunlocks, and then just ignore ststus stuff that should get them.

I just died to the (BLEEEP) Godskin Noble because his black flame AoE caused him to ignore one of my sleep pots. A second one didn’t catch him until after I’d thrown the last one.
He killed me with his stupid, awful BS ‘I am a gisnt rolling donut lol’ attack with about 5% of his HP left.

I am so done with trying to come up with interesting or powerful builds, only to have the game repeatedly dunk on me, becauae they ‘tuned’ it for Souls Veterans who can pixel perfect parry everything in the damn game and then complains things are ‘too easy’. Yeah, cool, thanks for making everything else impossible for average scrubs with degrading reactions and tiredness, you absolute ingrates…

/salt

I’m an average scrub.

Never parried a single attack in ED despite trying for hours. I just dodge rolled, never felt like anything was “tuned” to Soul Vets either. Sure some mechanics are annoying af due to the dely or reacting to your input but we have plenty of ways of exploiting bosses ourselves.

I can’t really skip the big cutscenes (while I try to pay no attention to the minor talking ones), but honestly I’m also unimpressed with the story as well. Hopefully I can skip come launch if I do decide to get it.

That being said, Barbarian is rly hot  and Druid is just daddy. Added bonus you can mog yourself to be very naked, which is funny considering the starting area is in a winter-y location. :eyes:

Tried to make druid Nerathion in the game, but I’m not sure if the green hair is really coming off well. Oh well, at least there’s a bunch of wind-y storm-y spells (and a vine companion!), so I’m trying to go for a no-werewolf/bear caster build.

Do they though?

Even after the sentencing and the hearing, him and many others (e.g. voice actor of kael thas), who have been proven to not be in the wrong or have in any way shape or form had their name cleared by the justice system, these men are still treated by a vast number of people as having been somewhat guilty or evil in the end.

Granted, this happens to both walks of life. We have this rather famous murder case here in Finland (Google Ulvila Homicide case from wikipedia) where a woman was accused of having murdered their husband, but the supreme court released her of all charges in 2015.

Having seen and heard all the stories and testimonies available for public, I am to this date convinced about 88% sure that she did it. And so are most people I know about.

This is despite the court having decided the case in her favour, so maybe it just is what it is.

Agreed.

You know that meme where there’s a crying anime girl and she’s all “babe stop talking silly, you’re not even making sense” and then the second half is whatever

Decided to read the manga that the anime girl is from (Mahou Shoujo Site)
ends with twincest
I don’t know what I expected really

It disturbed you so much that your forums avatar has done a runner

Cast invisibility on myself so that no one would see me staying up late to read manga (again)

I can guarantee you that if you want to make it into a whole “Us vs them”, women who get abused or harassed and not believed for it HEAVILY outweighs men who are falsely accused.

And not only not believed, but harassed for daring to speak up in the first place.

A majority of women who report a guy for misconduct or poor behavior have their life altered the second they do, often forever. Even if they win or not. And it’s not a case of that I think a person should be considered guilty immediately no, but there is a place between “innocent until proven guilty” and believing/treating the charges seriously instead of turning the womens lives into a living hell for daring to speak up.

I think that the way how people speak about these cases eventually always devolves into a case of us vs them.

I don’t doubt that there are a great number of women who get shut down for trying to get justice, but that goes for men as well.

Either way, I don’t know if there are any statistics on this, so I can not comment on that. I do know however that in terms of domestic abuse alone the split is nearly 50/50, with women usually experiecing about 5 to 7% more of it on average.

Also, as I explained, I find it problematic that if the justice system finds somebody innocent, despite that it can ruin a man’s life. There are countless stories in Europe alone about men who were falsely accused of things by one or more women, which later turned out to be completely false or done with pure malice or financial gain in mind.

And these people’s lives were completely ruined, even after they were absolved. Their friends and family had cast them out and nobody would hire them.

I am not saying it works out that way all the time and that the justice system is flawless - But it’s the best alternative we have in the western world. What else do you suggest we conform to? Mob rule via cancellation or worse?

You’re making a mistake with discussing social topics/issues with him. Haven’t you learned your lesson, the rest of us have…

My main issue has just been people constantly censoring words so my filters stop working or bringing aphobia into every queer topic or the constant anti vs non-anti bs or baseless accusations. I can go on with my community gripes x_x

When I left in 2018 it was a burder lifted from my mental health, but also left a massive hole in my fandom loving side that birdapp can’t even come close to fixing either.
Needing to be logged in to make anon asks is a good change tho.

It is very buggy, sometimes I have to use my controller to be able to skip and sometimes they just completely bug.

But I ended up just grinding a dungeon to hit max on beta and I’m cool with that.
The costumisation options are very nice, just wish the body types weren’t locked to the classes but it is what it is, I love how Druid is chonker and Necromancer is almost skin and bones.

I also figured out corpse explotion is very good until you run out of bodies to blow up or you need to bring your boys back and you accidentally exploded all the fresh bodies because haha corpse go boom.

I reduced the commentary blogs to almost zero. It’s only fandom (mostly art) and friends. Makes it very bearable because the annoying stuff simply can’t get in easily.
Also people are starting to call out the ones who censor random words. Turns out all we needed for people to do so is have it be a big thing on… I thin tiktok? That way tumblr feels fine with calling it silly.
