Thanks to the magical workings of the multiverse, Humanoids of different kinds sometimes have children together. For example, folk who have a human parent and an orc or an elf parent are particularly common. Many other combinations are possible.

If you’d like to play the child of such a wondrous pairing, choose two Race options that are humanoid to represent your parents. Then determine which of those Race options provides your game traits: Size, Speed, and special traits. You can then mix and match visual characteristics—color, ear shape, and the like—of the two options.

Actually a good approach. Just make sure to give us this mix n’ match visual thing in the videogames.

This doesn’t affect their story/lore situation at all, and presumably setting specific stuff is still exceptions, these are just the ‘general’ rules for non-specific settings.

I’d presume that Eberron will still keep specific racial statistics for dragonmarked half-elves/half-orcs (though they might instead return dragonmarks to being feats, as they were in 3.5)

I recently found out that neverwinter nights actually have a decently active RP scene online
with plenty of rp servers to choose from.

Its has been eating up my evenings playing low stakes dnd in a 11 year old video game.
can’t say I dislike it though, but my sleep schedule suffers.

Dog loves sleeping next to the PC screen as it’s warm, so he usually prefers my PC/ study area as a napping zone. He pissed on the keyboard as a result
