I still prefer Twilight Princess, which a lot of people didn’t enjoy massively.
Anything with weapons that break because you sneezed on them sucks…

Majora’s Mask is like BOTW an overhyped mid Zelda, though I’d say MM is higher up on my list than BOTW for the gritty edgy stuff alone
Majora’s Mask was probably really good at the time of release because of its innovative time reset mechanic and dark carnival tone. I was not a rich Nintendo kid growing up, but I did buy it for the DS a few years back and can safely say the time travel stuff has aged like warm milk. I gave up on it after the first temple because of the repetitiveness or running the same errands and routes over and over. I can not understand how people can rank it above Wind Waker or Twilight Princess, which themselves also have repetitive elements but not nearly as punishing or dull as Majora’s Mask.
Never played TP but it looks good for its time, also Midna is best.
OOT and MM are also bangers of Zelda games but my heart always goes out to Skyward Sword.

This!!! Majora’s Mask aged like milk in so SO many regards. For it’s time sure, it’s good but not by todays standards. You can do time travel mechanics without making it a chore dang it, even OOT did it better.
TP is very good and worth a play if you can! But it does also have it’s dull moments.
Skyward Sword is a good game everyone is just mean about it because the jank with the wiimote and how it was the timeline first zelda.
ALttP Is always ranked high I’ll have you know!!!
I like how the technical sequel Between World is super good too

Sounds like a bunch of skill issue to me.
I remember nothing but that from that game but mostly because we made a game out of playing it while lying down on the sofa… that was at an angle to the wii.

When I was a small child, my family took a holiday to a cottage that had an old NES with the OG Zelda. My older brother managed to get up to the point you become white Link.
However, the save file got deleted, and he vehemently blamed me, even though I didn’t do it. This is a traumatic memory which might contribute to why I’ve never been the biggest fan of the series.
Also the last fight in Twilight Princess made my wrist hurt, but that was probably because I was going all out on the wii-mote swings.

Twilight Princess was a great game.
BOTW was okay.
That’s as far as my experience goes. I’m a big Zelda enthusiast in Smash Ultimate, though!
