Maybe. My one peeve with DF so far, and it’s not unique to this expac, is how jumbled everything gets both before and after you hit level cap. I’m picking up quests and breadcrumbs that are clearly supposed to happen after you’ve done the main storyline, but I’d probably have to skip every single sidequest along the way to manage that in order?

Not a huge deal, just a minor irritant.

I didn’t realise how long re-reading to do edits would take. I’ve got a self-imposed goal of 2 chapters/day and even that much is taking like 2-3 hours to do.

New RP character is going to be an arcanist who specialises in transmuting people to give them the bodies they always wanted.

I know so many people who’d be extremely happy for that to exist in real life.

Maybe one day.

(I myself luckily already pretty much have the body I want, and most of what I’d like to change can be changed by physical training.)

A minority of people who are going to choose nonhuman bodies (and it’s going to be a real minority) is a small price to pay for making almost every trans person in the world happy.

(Besides, it’d be an interesting new development.)

If it was up to me, everyone would get access to the character customization screen on their 18th birthday, and then a few more times later in life in case they have regrets.
