Pet peeves: The return (Part 5)

i just want something new, is that too much to ask.

star wars acolyte or whatever it is could end up being a cool thing for this very reason. andor was good even though it tread a familiar era of the setting because it did something new with it’s genre

tired of the clone wars boss. as far as i’m concerned clone wars was done and finished when a clone trooper shot grievous at point blank range in an elevator shaft with a rocket launcher, literally nothing can ever top that moment for me.

i thought i could fix her, but then i realised that whatever is wrong with her is so much hotter

real talk though i just love star wars so much as a setting. it doesn’t always get it quite right but when it does, there’s nothing that scratches the itch quite like it.

i wish to be immersed in it once more. jedi survivor was amazing for it this year, but i want more

i want baldurs gate 3, but star wars

so yes i guess that means i want a kotor 3

play The Old Republic again :gun:

While I liked SWTOR, the biggest problem with it is their insistence to keep bringing the Emperor back. He was a cool villain, but every time they defeat him, a bit of him survives and then you defeat him for real this time! Until the next time a bit of him survives and you defeat him for real this time! But then the next time a bit of him survives(…)

They need to write new villains. Bringing back Malgus was cool, but the drip feeding of 15 minutes of story every 6 months isn’t really giving the “Legacy of the Sith” vibe I was hoping for. It’s been 2 years and we’re still drip feeding the same story, but at least they finally connected the Malgus story with the Mandalorian Civil War story which for the longest of time looked like two completely disconnected storylines.

Also Heta Kol is objectively the right choice for Mandalore.

essentially my thoughts on it too.

i enjoyed swtor for what it was, but before it even launched i was frustrated by the marketing insistence to essentially make it look like galactic civil war era star wars with the empire and star destroyers and clone trooper looking guys.

it also wasn’t quite the mmo i was hoping for either, but i did enjoy the class stories even if some of them were obviously weaker than others. i’m looking at you smuggler

As an AU and separate from the main canon of Star Wars, having the SWTOR story end with the Eternal Throne/Zakuul stuff would have been fine/cool. I try to ignore it as part of the setting’s history, but standalone I liked it.

Sith Warrior is objectively the best class story

I played Sith Warrior so I can only agree.

a fine choice my liege

incorrect but you are entitled to your opinion

all my friends hate zakuul but i found that story a lot more compelling than the base game by virtue of it feeling more unique and foreign to the setting, more in line with the kind of thing we thought revan might find out in dark space

I can imagine that writing a threat that simultaneously threatens both the Republic and Sith Empire (when you have the same Nobody Can Win The War problem that Warcraft does) is a nightmare scenario

Eternal Throne was great

thanks chief

he can’t keep getting away it

That’s a funny way to spell imperial agent

Speaking of SWTOR I’m low key keeping my fingers on its pulse, what with new devs taking over its future and whatnot

it’s sith inquisitor why are we having this conversation

the best star wars the old republic story is the girl reading this

SI was a worthy contender

Sadly it was not the imperial agent
