I wish there was a browser extension to filter marketing buzzwords out of software websites. Turning e.g. this

(The AI part is particularly baffling. It is a server for storing files. Its basic operations are âupload fileâ, âdownload fileâ and âdelete fileâ. What does that have to do with AI except that AI is the Cool New Thing so all marketing-speak is now obligated to mention it?)
I think I mentioned he prefaced his novel with âif he regrets itâ. To which he doesnât. But yeah, there are more races to come.
And yeah, the first book is pretty rough in trying to understand the magic and faith system, itâs pretty rough and thereâs a reason why people drop the first book.
A rule I take with fantasy/sci-fi settings in general, I tend to look after Iâve read. âAh, so thatâs there.â There are a lot of characters and one of the latter books is -real- heavy (and unrepentant) with how many perspectives and characters you flip through.
I think even with it being my native tongue, thereâs a lot you can easily miss if your eyes skip a sentence or your attention slips. Itâs also a setting where once you finish it, you can see each individual accident lead to the train crash so itâs worth a re-read (after severe decompression).
Now youâve got to tackle Deadhouse Gates, if you liked Gardens then youâll fall in love with Deadhouse. The end of Deadhouse Gates is what settled my adoration for the series.
Or at least, Tolkien did both. He began with the languages, then decided he wanted some kind of world for them to exist in, then started writing ancient myths. But he also extensively used the âwhy is this true?â method of worldbuilding: sometimes he would write something into The Hobbit or LOTR on impulse, then spend a long time brainstorming how that fit into the established setting.
I finished the ARR MSQ but the mandatory post-MSQ content is the most brain dead and negative fun Iâve ever had in an MMO, ever. I want to get to Ishgard, but I am having more fun not playing the game than force myself to do this post-MSQ
Shadowlands is a narrative master piece compared to whatâs going on right now
Thank you for the input, itâs always greatly appreciated. When I do get to the writing, I think I can create something that people will want to read, and give it my own style, but Iâm under no impression I could match the british language-virtuoso himselfâŚ
Iâll always laugh at this one, and the one from Obi-wan Kenobi talking about Ahsoka
It is collectively known as âThe Wallâ for a reason, back when square didnât know what to do with an MMO endgame so stuck EVERYTHING into the main quest and its such a slog to get through.
Thereâs a reason I sort of quit once hitting it and only do a chunk at a time
I liked the ARR MSQ but the post-MSQ content is so irrelevant I can insta skip every single cutscene and dialgoue and still understand exactly whatâs going on in the plot.
Iâm gonna be real here and say you guys are the first I hear say post-MSQ for ARR is worse than MSQ.
I guess I really just have weird taste compared to others
Rewatching SEED Destiny and Iâd forgotten how hard it went in its first half before going entirely off the rails.
The fall of Junius Seven (âMy daughterâs tombstone must be dropped and burned for this world to changeâ) was really well done.
Cagalli still got done so dirty though.
Still impatiently waiting for the Freedom movie to either get a fansub release or an actual western theatrical dropâŚ
