Personally I find that one far less likely than the idea that life is just so spectacularly unlikely to emerge that there may well be none in our galaxy, at least.
(My heart wants me to believe in the firstborn hypothesis, but my skeptical brain thinks there might be nobody coming after us either, at least in our galaxy.)
The ones I like are less about âOnly humans are this wayâ and more that certain human traits (pack-bond-with-anything, adrenaline junky inclinations and a general helpfullness) couple well with a more human âEff it, we ballâ mindset.

Iâve seen someone claim that about the Cologne cathedral. A building that only got finished in 1880, where you can google photos documenting construction and that - because itâs sandstone - will never not have someone work on it to keep it standing.
Thereâs a stonemason workshop right next to it. You can visit that and watch them redo parts of the building.

I donât mind it being in a show or a game. I never have. Nobody ever complained about that.
What I do take issue with is changing original story, characters or plotlines to fit your political agenda or worldview, or sanitize it for people because you believe you can decide what media should people consume and what shouldnât they.
I donât think there is a conscious conspiracy to make video games awful, but there have been conscious efforts by these lobby and consultant organizations to drive forth their own agendas. Quality, experience and original storylines be damned.
