I’ve courted a zandalari mage before because the ToT HC mage set would look baller on one, but that would mean either a0 level a new mage or b) race change a current mage.
I don’t want to do either because holy hells do I hate playing mage.
I also like both my current mages, the belf that gets all the belfiest gear i can find and my nerdy goggle-wearing gnome.
Some people / cultures are just evil.
i prefer to believe that draenei skulls are actually just really durable and work as excellent road paving compared to other natural resources on draenor
if you’re killing draenei anyway it’s only economical to use them to improve your infrastructure rather than letting them go to waste

I like mage lore, I love mage roleplay, but playing a mage game-mechanically, at least in solo questing, just feels like playing a worse hunter.
I’m currently leveling a new character who’s a mage IC but a warrior game-mechanically, because of this.
I’ve liked fire mage ever since Alyszrazor but its solo play always feels too much glass and not quite enough cannon.
Fire mage plays like how anxiety feels
Basically, mage is a worse warlock which is a worse priest.

Upon completion, you will be hostile to the Flaming Fist, and they will attack you on sight within the city’s burrows. For this reason, it’s advisable to finish all the side quests in Baldur’s Gate that you can, before finishing this task, as it makes moving around a whole lot easier.
