Correction: every surface you’ve touched before!
Yes, I’ve been watching Thor’s shorts too.
Home grown vs mass market trash.
I spread the truths of the Goblin King
I just got ganked by a human, as a dwarf, in Stormwind in war mode.
How
Think there’s a quest that makes certain people (rogues?) hostile to the alliance.
Just don’t make the Dutch government buy it for you, or you’ll get endless debate on whether or not you’re even allowed to arm the darn thing

Replaying DA:I 10 years later I do think people gave it an unnecessarily hard time at the start. Combat is fine for what it is, travel is. . .a bit painful but as long as you have a goal you can memoryhole it, writing is overall above average, characters are generally good/great. Once again Bioware suffers from having produced a lot of previously S-tier games so when one that’s S- comes around its treated like a D .
I’m only informing Parliament after the deed’s already been done
DA:I was fun + fine tbh, solid writing which is the most important part of those games to me anyways
DAI is a pretty good RPG trapped in the body of a godawful ubisoft open world
Just remember that mount sprint is no different in speed to mount walk. They only have a single speed setting.
I love DAI, but a majority of people stop at the hinterlands. It is a bad early zone due to it being lvl 1-12.
My recommendation is always, ignore everything except the main story until you’ve dealt with the templars or mages.
THEN do the rest of hinterlands. Afterwards the game progresses very easily.
In unfortunate news, I’ve decided to become an even greater nerd and the mailman has delivered me a box of Landsknecht miniatures, a small-ish book on the formations, heraldry, and groups involved in the Battle of Pavia, and a very large book on the logistical organisation of the Venetian military from 1400 to 1617
it’s historical wargaming time (help)
Hehe, haha, hoho-
No~
Is there a group in your area for renaissance wargaming? Seems like it would be a pretty niche period.
Only time I ever really hear about historical wargaming is when I hear about World War stuff or American Revolutionary/Civil War stuff.
big sleeves big hat big halberd let’s go
In the area, not that I know, but in the country at least, yes!
But yeah, most historical stuff seems to be WW2 and sometimes American Civil War in case of the USA, or Napoleon in Europe (…and both exist in the other as well, but those seem to take the larger slices respectively, from what I’ve gathered)
sometimes big boomstick and big sword, too!
Al vostra signori!
The reality of the matter is that it’s probably going to be mostly just a hobby/modelling and painting-focused project. I’ve been really into the general timeframe and region for a long time now, and I can combine being into that with my funny plastic toy soldiers hobby. Something about large blocks of pike on a table looks beyond compelling!
If all else fails, I can just use them a bunch for Warhammer The Old World as well, and I can sneakily slide pictures of them into the DMs of girls on dating apps, showing my many beautifully crafted codpieces
Big fan of greatswords, especially when sword nerds show how they are significantly lighter than they’re usually depicted and used as anti-polearm and crowd weapons
Zweihanders are a dex weapon!!
