I call upon you, Mito, to do something about this.

it’s a shame starmer is like the most boring man who ever lived

Just an average englishman then

Managed a long sleep after an unfortunate paranoia debuff yesterday night
showered
ordered food

try and beat this health, brain (no please do not)

I wish to gently hold the old man.

This is, unironically what politics needs to return to. It should be a job. Not an entertainment axis. Not a wheel for pundits to spin conspiracies or agendas for cash.

Politics is one of those careers where I feel like if a person goes into it for either money or fame, then they should be booted out as quickly as possible, because it is not what the job is about.

Fully agree. It just means that come the next election if he comes up against someone with an ounce of charisma he’s going to be in trouble.

Sunak was an easy opponent because he has even less charisma and his government were ruinous, but if Boris was there it may not have worked out as well.

Educated voters are not the king makers, let’s be honest.

Hoping that this result does show just how broken our system is - someone getting fewer votes than ‘the worst election defeat in 90 years’ and getting a landslide majority is comical

Trying to take the positives in stride, really glad to see green and independent MPs coming up because it shows the strength of community organising

It’s beng ignored, but the greens have as many seats as Reform without the clickbait focus Nigel generates, an iota of the funding or the thousands of astroterfing bots. Pretty incredibly really.

You know who else has that many seats? Oh yeah it’s Plaid Cymru :fist:

I woke up like an hour ago, which is basically like a big nap

The pundits would argue that they have the same amount of seats, but double the votes.

Greens are definitely badly overlooked as a party though.

If you base it sheerly on votes received, Reform would be the 3rd biggest party in the country which is a terrifying thought and puts us not far from where most of Europe started not long ago.

Tories fully expelled from Wales is a feel good story.

At the very least we can appreciate that tallying up the centre-left / left parties takes them to over 50% of the popular vote. Small mercies that at least half the voting electorate this time weren’t awful.
