My list of blocked players on Steam is exclusively for whenever I play Fromsoft games. I’ve never needed to use it before or since. And last time I did a DS3 run a couple of months ago, it filled up with atleast 30+ additional accounts.
I don’t know how it is with ER since its the newer title, but DS3 in particular has some serious hacker problem. It seems like when the DS servers went down last year(or if it was the year before), they never bothered to enable their anti-cheat system when they came back on.
With no exaggerating, about 75% of the people I meet playing those games online are straight up hackers. Nearly all of them extremely toxic as well.
Of the remaining 25%, about 20% are just normal tryhards. Then about 4% regular players. Maybe 1% memesters.
You can do so much funny stuff in ER, people are just so bland u-u (not that I don’t appreciate a good edgy outfit with a bleed build but often they’re bad at fashion too!)
I loved doing weird/harmless invasion stuff as a mad phantom in DS3. They should bring that back.
Drop into someone’s world. Be weird. Leave.
My favourite DS PvP will still always be the Belfry covenant in DS2. Just because of how wild it could get. You had the host, then up to 3 belfry invaders. It was also a hotspot for regular invasions, so 2-3 dark spirits. Which could then also trigger assistance from the guardians of the blue to help defend the host.
And of course whoever the host had with them as white phantoms.
Didn’t play much DS2, just feels off to me, but watching the random things happening on youtube videos was nice.
More chaos, more good.
Closest thing I ever had was me accidentally hiding from some invaders in 3 post Pontiff. They just couldn’t manage to find me and eventually I saw them duel in the courtyard…
I’ve had a couple of people attack me outside of Pontiff too!
But the biggest is still the swamp due to the hotspot of both watchdogs and normal invasions. Almost never make it through there without 1 or two invasions at a time.
And sadly, as said, alot of it is hackers. Which is also a hassle when trying to invade yourself. Last time I was there, there was a guy using 5-6 different(I know because after 2-3 times on each account I blocked them) burner steam accounts and alts with the same name that roamed the area to siphon in invasions from both farron and red orbs. And once there, he’d just be invulnerable and the ability to return to your world was disabled somehow. So he just held you hostage until you dced.
jesus. TiL crit role’s sam riegel’s (ArR’s Alphinaud/GW2’s Braham/Persona 4’s Teddie) been recovering from tonsil cancer.
GW2 engineers can use twin pistols for a weapon set and I fear I have been spoiled now because akimbo pistols is the coolest possible weapon set
it adds to the pain that pistols arent a proper weapon in wow. the gunslinger vibe they have on thief is what i live for.
ability name: poison dart volley
what it actually sounds like: fan the hammer
I think that’s a change I’d welcome in the Netherlands aswell, and combine that with rules for behavior. No, calling your opponent names is not “sharp debating” it’s just being an . If you can’t bring your opinion without swearing or name-calling, that’s a you-problem.
I can’t say I envy mr. Starmer and co though. Our own newspapers dedicated some articles about the current state of the UK, and even here, the attentive reader can understand some of the damage the Tories have caused. So now he’ll have to try, or lay the foundations for, building the country back up.
In other news, due to my renewed Dragon Age: Origins playthrough, I also saw another video about the Veilguard. Apparently you’ll be able to choose out of six factions to join, which will impact your story. Factions being:
- The Antivan Crows
- The Grey Wardens
- The Shadow Dragons
- The Veil Jumpers
- The Lords of Fortune
- The Mourn Watch
If I do end up getting this game, it’s a no-brainer what I will probably play first. So far I am not entirely sold on the Veilguard yet ( and I still need to finish Inquisition and Trespasser darnit) , but this does seem nice.
someone I follow on twitter is playing DAI for the first time and I have to physically resist the ‘: )’ messages when he mentions characters that have major plot moments later
How do you mean? I’m confused.
It’s like when someone is like ‘Oh, I really like Arthas! I hope he gets to do even more heroic things in the future’ when they’re on mission 2 of the campaign
you don’t want to spoil anything, but also you’re hovering over their shoulders like ‘ohohohoho you’re gonna get hit by the twist’
