I started reading Dragonball Super and at the start of the second little arc it has a narration which just says “btw Freeza came back, but he got killed again, and it all happened off screen don’t worry about it” and like
okay! Sure!

“please watch the movie :3”
“Somehow Freeza returned.”

love this.
But Grimsby… Eight legs…
I don’t understand what it is about modern WoW, but it just doesn’t hit the same as classic did when I played that last year.
I don’t feel like I’m actually engaged in the gameplay and am really just going through the motions.
Still playing it and enjoying the vibes of the world but something feels like it’s missing from the questing experience and has been for some time.
i think sometimes its because its become a rush to the finish line for that mythic+ endgame rather than for the sake of taking in and exploring the world anymore.
it’s just not the same if you don’t have to sit down to eat+drink for health+mana after every 2 mobs
look it might not matter to you but as a mage i miss when i could give someone free food and water and send them on their way.
sob at least that earthen innkeeper in ringing deeps still appreciates it
if there was an mmo/rpg that had the world and vibes of star wars outlaws it would be the end of me

i’ve spent more time in photo mode than actually playing the game
i played warrior with a pocket healer so i was just living my best life
I will say the Mourning Rise quests toward the end hit me in the emotions.
With my grandma being in the later stages of alzheimers, it got me.
I’ve still barely made any progress, I played a bit last night but I ended up doing the first dungeon and a delve with friends. I’m still in the first zone.
My next quest is to do the dungeon I just did, except I have to do it as a follower dungeon so me running it with my friends didn’t count. Sad.
Classic pre-release public bug testing initiative.
it reminded me of what lifes like with my dad rn and it broke me apart. just. way too real.
I’ll warn you that a very similar quest in Dorn is required to unlock the earthen
That is the quest (chain) in question.
Hawkstriders were such a lazily added racial mount because they literally didn’t exist outside of being mounts in Quel’thalas. The fact that Blood Knights ride horses instead of hawkstriders only supports this.
Meanwhile dragonhawks are all over. You’d think given the ol’ Night Elf saber mounts, they’d have adapted to the native lynxes of the area too but…nope, that didn’t happen until the Arathi.
“Some of our brethren prefer horses, but the hawkstrider will always be the true symbol of Silvermoon.” lmao yeah whatever you say mount vendor
they just needed a unique racial mount that didn’t cross over with nelves or humans
and they were obviously playing final fantasy when they were brainstorming
I feel this highlights some of the annoying aspects with Blizzard and their view on what makes a race unique. They tend to take the most superficial approach to it.
Blizzard: “We must make sure they all have unique mounts to show how unique each race is!”
Players: “What about their actual differences in culture or religion?”
Blizzard: “Nah they all worship the light or the titans lmao.” (Or if they dont it gets reconnected later)
Players: “What about unique archetypes to classes based on their cultures?”
Blizzard: “Nope. Every warrior is the same. So is every hunter, rogue, or spellcaster. All priests are light-worshippers!”
