Pet peeves: The return (Part 8)

i just don’t have the time in my day to engage in any kind of end game content anymore. with my free time i’m usually working through the single player games that are sitting in my backlog

Speaking of weird.

People that hate on M+ are just not great at the game and that is alright

Suffice to say, I will take M+ over the snoozefest that are many other MMO dungeon designs (looking at you FF14, SWTOR and ESO)

My Spiderman cosplay arrived today and I’ve been wearing the suit all day long

Don’t jump into a pool.

maybe but they can both be punishing grinds in itself if your not mindful of how you play.

oh you dont and thats fine. genuinely is. just some people, and i have seen this genuinely, beleive nothing else exists in this game but mythic+.
usually dh mains for some reason.

koralash more or less voiced my problem with them and its solely that higher the tier the more you get mechanic overlap which makes pushing the key more of a slog than it should be. i used to do…eh wont call em high tiers but high enough to be a challenge to me. didnt stop because it was too hard stopped because it burnt me out.

wont disagree on this one. you can get fun boss encounters now and then but the devs sticking to the same mob/boss layout formula for every single one got old fast

ff14 dungeon is: pull all mobs from start point to the point you can’t pass any further in one go, burn them all down, kill boss. repeat 3 times or more until dungeon is complete

My biggest issue with M+ is that I just never feel motivated to run them.
I’ve healed people through some of the higher numbers on classes that weren’t meta but they regularly have an issue with visual clutter that turns them into a chore.

It’s not fun to play when you just can’t see.

Overall I’d argue it’s been a + on an otherwise stale content format, the issues of burnout and slogging through them is understandable.

I just see it as an unfortunately low bar that other MMOs can’t even reach

Now something FF14 does have over WoW:

Turning off spell effects, good lord WoW could do with that

M+ is basically like playing 6 Bop-Its at once except if you miss one you get punched in the face

and if someone else misses one you also get punched in the face

Whenever I do M+ it’s less Danger Zone, and more Entrance of the Gladiators

yeah im not disagreeing it was a change, at first it was a good change too. it did add a difficulty ramp for people who found the dungeons otherwise boring and too easy. last time i remember any difficulty in anything below mythic 0 was…shadowlands arguably.

or the healer wishes your family catch leukemia.

agreed on wishing wow would let you tone down spell effects. its litterally an option in every other mmo (and a hard requirement in gw2 open world).

seems counterintuitive to their profession

unless they just want to test their skills?

EZ-mine nodes suck. Whoever designed them? Yeah, you suck. This sucks. Just wasted my overload for the day, nearly died to a node by flying up to it, and one just despawned as I finished mining it normally.

Phasing nodes suck, stuff that fades away as you get in range suck, today just sucks and I haven’t even got to work yet and I’m sure THAT is going to be :peach: too, great, AMAZING…

They think their goku after hearing cancer is pretty strong

I actually prefer FFXIV dungeons. I like the linear experience, the tunes slap, and the boss fights are generally enjoyable without being too difficult for my unga bunga brain.

i want the classic wailing caverns experience where i spend 4 hours in there where 3 hours of it is the group having no idea where to go because it all looks the same and is an actual labyrinth. made worse when you wipe and you have to try and remember how you got where you were when you died

this is sarcasm btw

I love lowering the spell effects in WoW and suddenly no longer being able to see the super important boss mechanic just because I wanted to get rid of all the extra stuff happening in the literal background (Looking at you, Theater of Pain) :upside_down_face:

Also: They never learn what causes motion sickness and keep adding new things and the solution only pops up years later.
Al’akir was hell

I have the urge to cover the entire surrounding area in legos so everyone who decides to stand in Narnia for no reason at least also feels my pain

Reminder that this is your MMO healer:

Yes, every single one
We’re all the same

BRD truly does remain the greatest RPG dungeon experience ever conceived in any game and it just isn’t even close or fair to the competition.
