Received a random guild invite out of the blue when leveling an alt to join a “Anti-PCU” guild. Declined the invite, got a whisper immediately asked why. Said I wasn’t interested in joining random guilds while leveling.
Got called a fascist and a slur for “refusing to defend the realm” in response.
What a wonderful way to showcase how much you’re nothing like your supposed enemy.
They seem to be spam inviting a lot. I’ve gotten a couple of invites, but no weird whispers after I declined.
Seems extra weird to make the guild after the PCU has already long since imploded, whether it’s genuine or some lame troll.
First time I got it. I’ve received maybe 5 or 6 invites on other characters but first time I got a message.
It’s likely the latter.

But indeed richly late when the worst of the PCU already went poof.
There is a peculiar perceived belief that everyone fled to Argentina instead of… a vast majority just genuinely leaving WoW to carry on with their lives after the community imploded. A lot of others have stayed of course, but any semblance of what once was died like… at least 2 years ago, everyone who’s still around is just around as part of individual guilds, friend groups or etc. these days. It’s bizarre that people are kicking up a fuss this late but hey-ho, I can’t divine their intentions or aims so there’s no point really trying.
Now if only COAD laid down arms with the PCU’s demise.
But of course, every organization’s purpose eventually gets rededicated to supporting its own existence, so they’re switching to new targets.
In their defense, at times they have also called out others, bar the PCU, though those guys definetly took the brunt of it.

Trolling. That’s it. I highly doubt they were even there or involved. They heard about some grand mythical server drama and are desperate to kick it back up so they proclaim themselves as a part of it.
Also, Bree sucks. I forgot Bree sucks. I would actually label Bree as the worst of lotros early zones. As a questing zones at least, narratively it’s… ok. You have to pay real attention to get what’s going on because it is largely all connected, as would be expected, but everything is so spread out and so unevenly distribited that, a bit like ancient wow honestly, I’d question if many new players even get there is a cohesive story going on. Thankfully the zones after… mostly… tighten up a bit, but Bree… beautiful zone, as all lotros zones are, great interconnection between quests but if it ever gets a once over it really needs to centralise it’s quest drop off and hands out -to- Bree (the town) itself imho. I’ve travelled so much across the zone so many times I feel like I’ve already been to mordor and back.
