Joined a HD2 match in progress. Three of the absolute most LADS LADS LADS guys on mic, absolutely whiffing it, terrible play, suffering, but they keep the positive energy up and I pulled out some clutch plays even with 0 reinforcements left and ended up being the sole extract. There would’ve been one other, but he died to a fire tornado. RIP.
Peeved by single beds getting less common.
Give me my small sleeping space please. Stop being a hindrance.
Things I only just noticed today: The Praetorium theme is the same as the Burn’s.
New RP peeve unlocked: excited to meet someone from the same niche faction as me and their response to it IC is basically “ok cool”
I’m having my “I need to not work for a few minutes” time at work, just chilling in a cubicle.
I don’t know who just came in but I can certainly say they sound ill.
what’s the niche faction spill the tea
We’re 20 days from TWW launch and on the beta builds several hero talent trees still don’t function and others are almost nerfs to the actual spec you’re playing. So I think we can safely say multiclassing and hero talents is going to be a fun disaster to watch for the next 4-6 years.
Won the music roll from Arcadion 4 ;D
…i know its worth 2 million gil on my servers market but it slaps
Druid Class tree is still a horrific nightmare, and there’s no way we’re going to get a rework 2 weeks before launch again…
They do generally ramp up the frequency of tuning passes closer to the launch, but hey… I guess at least no real content is available in the first weeks so it’ll also give them some time to figure everything out!
(i need a dose of copium right NOW)
Too revealing
Let’s just say one player (me) foolishly shaped their entire character around the trauma that comes with the entailed horrifying experience while the other player saw it as a chill checkmark in their lengthy resumé…
Thanks for beta-testing it for me idiots, I look forward to the fixed hero specs when I resub in 3 years partway through Midnight

i wonder why i look at people “critiscising” dawntrail and wuk lamat with a very skeptic eye
I mean, I do think that Dawntrail has its fair share of flaws. The pacing of the first half is very sluggish if you don’t find its subject matter engaging, the focus on Wuk Lamat as the main character of the expansion can be unappealing to those who were drawn to how Shadowbringers and Endwalker focused on the Warrior of Light and put the player in the spotlight, and a lot of the story beats can seem derivative and can feel a bit like Square Enix is repeating their greatest hits with a new coat of paint.
Overall, I still consider it an enjoyable experience worth the time that I invested into it, but it’s far from perfect. The culture war anti-trans rhetoric is obviously complete
and trying to use criticism of the expansion as an excuse to attack a trans person is reprehensible.
I just feel like it should be made clear that there are valid complaints that people have about Dawntrail and that not every bit of criticism is LGBT-bashing in disguise.
When their opinion is on reddit or twitter, it goes straight into the ter.
That is some insane levels of terminal online brainrot to go out of your way to threaten/dox people for such arbitrary reasons.
Thankfully I do. This kind of slow-paced introduction to a new land and its history and cultures is precisely up my alley as a roleplayer.
our minds are alike in this because i also loved the slower paced introduction
I am back from being out.
It was fun, bought a load of goth stuff including a pair of knee high New Rocks.
I remember playing a night elf druid who, whilst traditional, was also open to the idea that… the elves had allies and friends now. That time had actually marched on.
A gnome mage she spoke too was -shocked- that my elf didn’t want to kill her for being a gnome in the forest and a mage.
Which IC… was stupid. I dunno why so many night elf players wanted to jump straight to ‘murder’ when the lore and common sense being -allies- was more ‘welcome, but monitor’.
And OOC… was stupid because why on earth try to ruin rp by jumping to the most extreme position possible at every given oppertunity.
The night elf scene just seemed to dominated for a while by people who just couldn’t move past thw wc3 ideal, which I get and got at the time but still. There’s far more interesting rp to had by playing to that clash of worlds then jumping all the way to ‘my character is now a murder bot because reee’ (and most of that reee was really ooc anyway which kinda made it worse).
I really hope it’s the case that the doctors are back in control of the asylum honestly, because night elves are, potentially, still one of the most interesting races to play precisely because how old they can be means all those rp doors, ideas etc never really close.
I love big boots.
Heh. Look, a new thread title.
And how! Get with the times, ladies; the thing you never get past is Teldrassil.
I killed a spider in my bedroom and I feel sorry for it.
I try to deposit ladybugs and the like safely to the outside instead of killing them, but spiders are too big to carry them on a wipe without damage to their legs. I think. Or maybe it’s something I tell myself to justify not even trying.
