It does feel very lazy to just say ‘oh yeah it transcends time’ when blood elves hop to another planet in another timestream. Your explanation fits much better so now it’s my headcanon too.

I agree that I think it’s more interesting if the Sunwell’s power is limited to Azeroth.
(of course I also think it’s more interesting if the Sunwell explodes again and they don’t have it anymore - Midnight…don’t let me down…)

I don’t think the narrative for the renewal was very good (Anveena lmao) but if they do destroy it again i don’t think “TBC 2.0” will be an improvement. Every time Blizzard recycles plot beats it gets worse.
Because really, the blood elves aren’t gunna go “damn. Best live on golem cores and mana wyrms again and not bother with a new stable, unlimited source”.
Don’t really think anyone will be pleased with The Budget Crusade

They can just switch to the nightwell. There’s so many wells. The elves really just need to pick one and use that.

When there is no such readily available source because they can’t fix the sunwell, that’s when the drama starts.
You’re right though, chances are that any Sunwell destruction would not live up to my hopes and dreams. But I can hope.
