It’s a proven track record for libertarian governments to forgive far more of alt right crimes than left (is there such a thing as the alt left anymore?).
Like, when leftist violence occurs its usually pictured as a threat to the very existence of democracy but when right wing violence occurs the narrative is very often shifted to a “well they were pressured into it because of [insert any socioeconomic strawman reason here]” and I don’t really understand why. It’s why when some bum in Wisonconsin blows up a powergrid station its not domestic terrorism, its vandalism.
The only FOMO would be AOTC based rewards and I guess the seasonal stuff which by far is easier to obtain than Cutting Edge and Hall of Fame for PVE respectively.
Meanwhile PVP has constant FOMO if you don’t get it now you can never get it again, so no, you can’t compare the two in terms of FOMO.
They should bring old glad mounts, sets, titles back but! Still have them require the rating requirement or a currency which you only get a set amount of. Still keeps the prestige of working towards the top tier PVP rewards but also doesn’t just hand them freely to you like how PVE rewards eventually will be.
I do still think they should axe PVP, the community is awful and PVP has not been balanced in over a decade.
I don’t know, I’d say this is mostly just politicians who are always eager to forget or forgive things that paint ‘their side’ in a bad light

it depends a little on how you define ‘alt’, I suppose, but it’s quite easy to point at protest groups that have moved from one specific goal (climate, or the traditional post-collapse of the soviet union left wing extremist movement, animal liberation groups) to the ‘Omnicause’ - see for example the group that sabotaged the French railway network to and around Paris a little more than a month ago
alternatively you could point towards the perpetually online social media posters (which I’d argue alt-right groups in the traditional sense started as as well) who keep on talking about revolution and how everything must crash, fall, and be destroyed to build something better from the ashes. They just come across as less of a threat because there’s less walking around with torches screaming racist nonsense and more online posting about how increased takeaway fees are ableism and how everyone is entitled to their personal food delivery slave, which is utterly pathetic and non-threatening but also great to make outrage bait media about
This applies to the mounts/titles for PVE as well!
That’s specifically what I’d advocate for with a lot of PVP awards!
tbh this is just a good reason to axe everything but pet battles. I dread random dungeon’ing even when it’s normals or heroics because the chances are high you get matched with some dude who’s got the e-sports mentality rolling on his generic dungeons and is ready to make it everyone else’s problem

Search for Baldur’s Gate 3 on Twitter and you will see the left-equivalent of the Alt. Right; that is to say, a group of people with far too few genuine problems in their lives that they have now been continuously going on about the racism implications of every character having 2-3 hours less content than Astarion - namely Minthara, Wyll and Jaheira - despite all 3 actors’ saying the characters’ stories were done and they’re happy with where they are so they’ve moved to further careers. The Alt. Left just isn’t capable of the same mobilized idiocy as the Alt. Right because they’re (thankfully) too busy discussing the moral and ethical implications of every minute action a Human is capable of (incredibly insufferable, but utterly harmless).
Outside what, the seasonal ones which compared to PVP titles is a relatively new addition? Last I checked I can still get Hellscream’s Downfall for clocking Garrosh Mythic or The Light of Dawn from ICC HC.

unfortunately there are also a bunch of very, very violent left-wing extremists, particularly in Italy and Greece so it’s not just online posting for them, either, just like how far-right wing extremism also doesn’t manifest solely as couch shaggers talking about their ‘‘concerns’’
statistically the most arrests made in the EU on terrorism charges are jidahism followed by right-wing extremists followed by left-wing extremists, while the most attacks (succesfully) carried out are left-wing followed by right-wing followed by jihadism, and looking away from any of these is a Bad Thing, so I don’t think framing it as ‘dumb posting vs violent action’ is a particularly good idea or frame
