I really dislike parrying. It just seems to be such a weird obession games have, dodging is far superior (and doesnā€™t usually rely on terrible visual clues or absurdly stringent timing).

Given how dodging in Elden Ring is, especially in the DLC, I think Iā€™m embracing the idea that, when it works, they are the ones in a world of pain, not me.

Iā€™m sure the DLC will make me cuss the air blue, of course.

I need a better laptop for when I travel but I canā€™t justify it 'cause I donā€™t travel enough. So being on holiday like thisā€¦ I canā€™t really play WoW :pensive:

Parrying in Metal Gear Rising feels so good though, and also pretty satisfying in Nier Automata too, although itā€™s less of a core mechanic there. Slamming your weapon into their weapon is just kind of a cool thing to do.

This laptop SUUUUCKS (sorry, laptop, donā€™t read this). I also just went outside with my dog for two minutes and got swarmed by midges that followed me inside and wonā€™t go away.

I was initially pretty underwhelmed by the Mexico section of Dawntrail, but I did appreciate the moment of quiet for the first big pivot of the plot to hit hard
