Pet peeves: The return (Part 9)

I finally sorted my bank stuff I hope, they never actually sent a “we closed your account” letter but they sent all the other relevant info in the online mailbox I still have access to so sent that and now I just hope and pray that I get my dental bill covered

Oh and also said bank never updated my address even though I updated it twice after moving

I love him.

Don’t expect too much of them
Mine send me a customer survey, to my e-mail, where they wanted to know if this is the e-mail they should send further info stuff too and in that line of the text they typod the address…

old server im in made an art channel. thought “cool maybe its some interesting stuff.”
its entirely AI slop made by roleplayers. when i voiced my disgust for it and one person calmly asked for an elaboration why, the creators got very snappy about the notion that they used “stolen work.” same as it ever was.

i have been chasing the persona 5 high ever since i first played it, and neither 4 or the recent 3 remake could do it.

it always felt like i was playing a stripped back version. metaphor is finally scratching the itch

how much jazz music is there

zero, and that, as well as the lack of romances is it’s only real failing

however the gregorian chanting is very based and goes some way to filling the void in my heart

Yeah I’m not, there’s a reason I closed the account I had with them.
I miss my old bank but they got bought out and that just made me swap + the buyers ordered me a new debit card after saying I shouldn’t do anything if I don’t want a new card so can’t trust them for :poop:

Now I am just suffering with “Not enough USB controller resources” error from my new headset and man I cba that right now, i’ll reinstall the USB drivers when I go to bed

This is my main gripe because the characters are fascinating and dont strike me as the types to murder me over a hot spring incident i hate that trope agh

i think persona made you all too wild with your posting and they’re throwing a big old bucket of cold water

I act very normal about persona romances thank you very much.

Unless im talking about the Goth doctor

Convincing people in video games is always so funny when there’s stats/dice rolls attached.

“Hey, Chorda you dogmatic fanatic, you’re a bad person.”
“No I’m not.”
[Persuasion - Success]
[Lore: Imperium - Success]
“Oh I guess I am, I repent and give up.”

:sunglasses: and it’s just that easy.

smoking has been in video games for ages and usually increases the cool factor of whoever is doing it

for example, cid from both ff16 and 7 (rip rebirth), solid snake

metaphor however is going in a completely different direction, where you’ve got npcs hitting up their high fantasy vape pens

I dunno. Having seen when pubs and buildings generally were just smoke and tar laced places of utter filth I’ve never seen smoking as cool. Whenever I see a npc or pc smoking I usually just increase their ‘is a twit ‘ factor

As a vaper and ex-smoker, I don’t miss when bars etc had smoking indoors. It sucked so much. Just walking into a cloud of smog and choking. As much as I love the smell of cig smoke, too much is too much.

At long last, PC gamers too can finally play RDR1!

The devs accidentally made a pretty cathartic game about how maybe sometimes guns serve a purpose to protect your loved ones (in this case from a cult that literally abducts people at gunpoint and lobotomizes them to work as forced labour) in a crazy northwest area full of quirky rednecks and realized that their tried and true “literally all guns and violence is actually bad even in self defence” message was a bit hard to fit in.

So they said screw it, lets just kidnap the player and force them to watch the story anyway no matter what dissonance it causes. One time it happened to me in a safehouse while I was surrounded by half a dozen friendly NPCs.

They make you play as a cop, it kinda went without saying that the ultimate message of the game would be it’s okay for you to shoot people with lots of guns.

(a semi-related peeve, but why the heck is your cop uniform something you have to unlock by completing NG+ on the hardest super difficulty? I ain’t gonna bother with that)

Also why is my character a silent protagonist. Everyone is constantly talking to/at me and asking me questions and stuff and you just don’t reply, it’s really weird. FC3’s protag wasn’t silent I’m pretty sure. I didn’t play 4, so idk about that one.

You would think that, but the writers had ideas and there was no stopping those ideas.

For those who don’t know, there are three endings, two of which have you walk away and leave the cult alone but no more people die (by your hands). The third ending (stop the cult, quite literally the only morally right thing to do) sparks World War 3, somehow, and half the planet dies, including every friendly NPC you met up to that point in nuclear war and your character is taken captive by the antagonist who seals you and himself in a bunker and goes on to torture you for the rest of your life. The main menu permanently changes to a blasted hellscape with no music playing after you complete the game as well.

Hamfisted springs to mind.
