I dunno, there was a herb that flung you a third of the away across the zone if you tried to pick it. I’m not sure why blizzard decided to make mining and herbing an even more annoying version of roll the bones but it’s one of those ‘should’ve died on the drawing board’ ideas that weirdly didn’t.
It does make one question the talent of those involved in the process really.
Almost certainly anti-bot measures, similar to the nodes which are deliberately under terrain to target bans at people glitching to get them

I have recently discovered that World Eaters really is that meme of the bell curve where on each side it is simply “Charge? Yes.” While the middle is “Noooooo there is complexity!!!”
Frankly its their simplicity that makes them appealing. What complexity they have is either in their relationships with other marines or how hard they wanna ball on that particular occassion.

second major dungeon in metaphor completed
this game is very good. not sure if it can top persona 5 royal for me yet, but i’m really enjoying it.
maybe if you’re needing to put nodes under the ground to combat bots, annoying real players in the process, you need to head back to the drawing board on your bot countermeasures…
