Pet peeves: The return (Part 9)

I really liked BG3.
I would also have enjoyed it more if it had been set in Thedas instead of Faerun…

Yeah i have the exact same feeling. Id love to play ir back in an enjoyable state but itd be a waste of time and storage space. Idk what it is about OW2 that feels so unappealing to me. The battle pass for sure, it feels wrong, but something about the gameplay itself just feels watered down from the unfettered mess that used to be trying to push a payload against an entrenched Bastion, Torbjorn and Symmetra defense

I also really like BG3. I don’t think it’s the RPG to end all RPGs, but it’s very fun + cool

I’ve seen people talk about how much worse it feels to play thanks to all the effects on screen these days. Classic OW is very, very optimised to keep your field of view clean of flashing colours
Also decent amount of people still want 6v6 back

I might finally be forced to buy a new phone. I just got an email from monzo saying their app will stop working on my current version of android in October 2025, and it seems that I’ve got the latest OS version my phone will have.

It still works, even if the battery’s a bit :poop:, so a little annoying I’m being forced to upgrade (at some point in the next 11 months).

Despite my issues with Veilguard I can largely agree with this, but tbh I didn’t rate BG3 as highly as most people seem to. Both are games I’ve played through once and, at least so far, don’t feel like picking back up again (and that’s fine, I had fun)!

I’ve said it before but BG3 more than any RPG I’ve played (that I can remember off the top of my head) left me feeling unfulfilled on account of there not being a truly ‘happy’ ending. I like desperation and despair in my stories but I like an ending to at least bear the possibility of things turning out well.

Bg3 for me was unfulfilling because the devs have left more than one companions romances and plots bugged out and unfinished imo. But its fine because we have more evil endings and enough Astarion content to choke a bull elephant with and i say that as a fan of his character.

Was it not bad enough we got robbed of EA Wyll but we couldn’t even romance him properly in live

So the ONE artisan ensemble I have interest in, and only the hat, really, is the ONLY one you can’t buy.

You ‘just’ have to get FIVE professions to maximum in TWW!
Screw you, Blizzard…

More games should cater to me specifically. Nobody else, just me.

Oh trailer for next weeks gw2 patch dropped. Unironically Janthir Wilds has one of the best osts ive heard this year

I’m at least on 49/80 Marks for the one (lmao) weapon I need.
I will praise the ability to transfer currencies across warband, frankly. Long overdue, but very welcome. Being able to compile Honour I wouldn’t ever use to get 10 more marks? Worth.

The Witcher 3 is still the RPG I’ve enjoyed most out of those to launch in the last decade, not only due to the solid base game but the meaty and high quality DLC expansions as well.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 looks to be the next RPG that I’ll thoroughly enjoy with little to no complaints.

BG3 was alright. I enjoyed the combat and exploration but a lot of the characters didn’t really click with me and the offerings in terms of romance were fairly bland or outright questionable.

I’m only interested in conventionally attractive men, especially if they’re fairly well-built and masculine. So I was intrigued by both Gale and Halsin.

Halsin quickly put me off with the weird request to sleep around. I’ve heard that has since been changed but I’m tired of gay and bisexual men being presented as wanting open relationships rather than a single, stable partner.

Gale was much better but the game made the bizarre decision to reduce the size of his muscles. Utterly bizarre given that there’s no reason why a mage can’t also be in decent shape. So my interest just fizzled out, especially once I learned how much was cut - including an entire district in Act 3.

Everything turns into Bloodborne.

but are you passively mad too?
