I think its funny that Veilguard only has 3 decisions related to Inquisition and absolutely none of them are actually the consequential, world-shattering decisions of Inquisition and 2/3 of the 3 are just: Who did you romance and did you want to save or kill Solas. So that’s…nice. We’re just reverted to full status-quo with the Mage-Templar thing apparently just solved off-screen by Mages and Templars agreeing that they should actually just go back to how things are. Hawke/Stroud/Alistair going to Weisshaupt and killing everyone? Haha, forget abouuuut it, don’t worry about that, didn’t happen. The schism at Adamant? What’s that.

Terrible. Pain. Suffering. I don’t know whose in the Kitchen but they need to stop cooking or focusing 90% of their resources on hair physics.

Deeply funny that the dangerous part of doing a solo Delve isn’t when they’re doing their mechanics but when they stop doing mechanics and melee me

ah, you kill me in 3-5 hits you say? and I cannot kite or interrupt you? i see

I’m not sure if more was revealed but it could well be that it’s not the only screen that’s relevant, and thatjust the ‘Inquisitor’s’ backstory screen, whereas any other setup decisions are made on other ‘pages’.

At least I hope so. Skipping the Well of Sorrows decision when both Morrigan and the Inquisitor are in DAVe definitely feels like a mistake.

90% chance its canonically going to be Morrigan in the Bioware Canon we’re forced into going forward. Especially given that they’ve said the Inqu will just be “appearing here and there to help out”. Also because she seems to have Mythal’s powers and vibe now so it definitely seems like they’ve just flatly decided its her.

to shreds you say? tsk tsk tut tut…

Personally I felt it made more sense for Morrigan’s story to be the one to drink from the Well given the revelation with Flemeth that effectively concluded Morrigan’s personal arc

I do have a peeve about delve mechanics because I think it is a very cheap one.

The big damage caster’s in the delves (The Korbyss that does Necrotic Bolt or the nerubians that does web bolt) have a peculiar built in mechanic.

Regardless of their current aggro or target (Be it Brann, or something like a warlock voidwalker), they will actively ignore all taunts or threat to cast their bolt spells directly at the player. I’ve tested it multiple times, and yeah it seems like they are hard coded to only cast their damage spells on the player.

I think that is really stupid, because that’s not how WoW works.

they also seem to be coded to target specific roles too. did them with a friend last night who used them as a chance to test out Chronowarden Pres Evoker. Every caster hard targeted him even when I had aggro.

Additionally, the little ankle biter spiders that occasionally spawns/get summoned in Nerubian delves can go jump in a ditch somewhere.

Even if I am being extremely careful, suddenly the game decided to spawn 20 of them (which are also all stacked on a single model so its hard to see), and their poison bite stacks and one-shots me or my voidwalker in about half a second.

I can manage delve 8 quite fine except for them.

The Inquisitor drinking because they don’t trust Morrigan (or if they’re just power hungry) is a fine choice, and there’s a certain eroticism to it (postgame) if you’re romancing Solas and you’re into that.

Kinda wish there was an evil option to force Sera to drink from it, just to see how she’d react.

But I do agree that Morrigan drinking is that far stronger narrative overall.

Sera is never in any of my playthroughs quite simply

I still honestly really like how her character was handled and how her story concludes in Inquisition.

Some amazing character growth and development, that still really fit well with how she used to be in Origins.

a bold choice

I don’t understand how someone can be so wrong.

Sera is amazing, I will not stand for this slander about my DAI wife.

The patrician’s choice
