Happy gobtober to me then

Well, there are wallabies on the isle of man. Ah, the bounty of Empire. :uk:

In somewhat related news, red squirrels are making a comeback and inching grey squirrels out. The squirrel reconquista is kicking off. :chipmunk:

We have them up here in the Highlands. Only seen one so far, but it’s good news regardless

out with the grey squirrels, bring back the best of british red squirrels

send those foreign squirrels home

brexit means brexit

Excellent. Nature is actually healing.

not any longer. we’re deploying the yellow squirrels

They’re being spotted in Nottinghamshire and from range it’s likely too much to just be random escapees.

Peeve of the day - work. Today is the first time in 20 years I had to walk out the staff room because if I hadn’t it’d have been a very unprofessional moment.

Dimwit I , fortunately, don’t directly work with started going in about how he disagreed with school policy and started talking about us all backing him up. Not that unusual, it happens.

Naturally he then had to jump down the ā€˜it’s all gone very woke’ path. Apperantly understanding and working towards a solution vs just battering the child down is ā€˜woke’ now.

Honestly he’s entitled to his very stupid view but using what I said to try and back it up is not a line I’m ok with. So now he has a formal complaint against him (he’s done other nonsense I previously let slide and is generally just a negative influence) and I eat with more sensible people. The children mostly.

How these people actually function as human beings quite frankly terrifies me. What is even more concerning is these people are allowed within a 100 foot radius of a child. An overwhelming number of issues children develop and then retain as adults are as the result of a malign and stupid clods like him.

I keep misplacing things. Keyrings, tools, documents. It’s frustrating but not actively detrimental. Yet. Things can always get a lot worse!

It’ll just be a ball and chain holding you down if you win. I say that as someone who once owned both a large house and a medium house.

I get my housing fix from TESO. Which not only has a more elaborate system and racial themed furniture/houses but also doesn’t remove the house if you take a break for months or even years.

I’ve said it before but i’ll say it again
Housing in FFXIV is an entrapment policy, and it’s not even intentional I think on the part of the devs. It’s just they designed an incredibly backwards management system of housing.

Yes they’re apparently changing things to make plots more appealing, something about small plots actually having interior space of a large but this is still 11 years after the game launched

The fact players have to use third party tools to even get a properly designed home is disgusting. I really hope that Blizzard copies GW2’s housing model over FF14’s. The problem wouldn’t even be as severe if the housing was instanced properly and not divided into open world ā€˜wards’.

Thank you, that ought to help alot when I do get to him. I’ll be playing as ret pally so I can keep myself alive ( even if I do feel squishy as hell in delves sometimes), but once I get the chance to attack him, we’ll see how it goes!

Edit: In other news… until now there is no way to refund artisan’s acuity is there?

Long story short, I ended up crafting a blue leatherworking smock for my druid, forgetting I already had one… goodbye 300 artisan’s acuity and one profaned tinderbox :frowning:

I left a bowl of mostly eaten pasta on the coffee table.

Wake up this morning, see pasta on the floor, decide I’ll clean it up later but take the bowl into the kitchen.

Finally get up, pasta is gone from the floor.

Good thing you’re cute kitty with your high pitched meow.

Only the highest of meows for you

Trying to plan out what to do while you wait on gatcha banners is so ugh
Fine
More maintenance
I’ll feed my Kuki until her hyperblooms will blot out the sun (and after that we feed Chevi)

How can I get pants worthy of being transformed into a tier piece?! I’m gonna CRY if I don’t get any.

I do have Kuki and used to use her in a hyperbloom team, but I don’t really like how her ability works. Losing HP to activate her health is big lame, even if it can’t down her on its own.

Maybe one day I’ll build a hyperbloom team using the Prinzessin der Verurteilung and Lady Megistus, they’re fun characters.
