Thought I check the AH what pets sell and level some up if I have any…
the task just being so inconvenient. I only have rematch addon, proper pet battle sorting and save/load team options, very handy.
But the only way for me to get my answers would be to open the AH,
check the most expensive pets, look at the pet names, type them into rematch, look where or how you can get them, almost always includes more wowhead reading on pre-quests etc.
Since wow can prompt us with a AH price check on wow tokens,
can’t you make it check pet prices too?
This way we can simply open up our battle pet page and sort the pets from most to least expensive. Boom. One click, all done, hours and hours of searching and multitasking all gone. You see what you got, how much they cost and if you can even sell them naturally as default all non-tradeable pets are excluded.
Another penny in the wishing well that devs never get to see nor care about for a million years yaaaaay…
Not a fan of the idea, the game doesn’t track prices in that manner for any commodity, I see no reason why pets should be an exception. You can just get TSM for on the fly price checking of eveeything, not just pets. Why we’re onnthe topic however, I would like to be able to filter pets, both in the collection tab and the AH, by the expansion they have been introduced in. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Would be nice if we could do that for crafting reagents too.
It is a good idea, initially. Get a ton of work done in one click.
But the real consequences would be probably this:
Noobs sort their pets, see what they can sell for the most money, and the ah would get flooded pushing said pet values lower, basic inflation.
I guess there would be fotm pets, based on prices, because people need to go level them, so players just wait to buy low, train a lot and sell high when the demand raises the cost again. Fluxuating values.
There is actualy a rather good web page for that, ive sold only few of dem pets but it usualy is realy close to what that web says about price.
It shows your total pet value, your duplicate pet values, value for each pet ofc, and also global and realm prices ( u can use search for character and see that characters pet and theirs prices - fun fact rank 1s pet colector pets are priced at ~20m gold)
