Any chance we can get some of those robots on mechagon as hunter pets?
Isn’t that possible already? I know you can tame a robot chicken that runs around. 
If not, there are tamable robot pets near the room, where you do the opening quest for Mechagon in Tiregarde Sound. Those I know for sure are tamable, because I tamed them yesterday.

You can tame the mechanical dogs, gorillas, chicken and cats/sabertron from Mechagon.
You have to be a Goblin, Gnome or Mechagnome or have this:
To tame them.
