PETITION: Release MOP Classic

I am seeing so many people here loved MOP. So I think if Blizzard released MOP Classic it would be great success.

Please Blizzard, Makes it happens.

It needs to have a good solid population base first and access to someone who works inside blizzard like how the wow classic community went to mark kern and then he went to mike morhaime with the signed petitions.

IDK man Mark Kern is nobody after he left Blizzard, Zero projects. I don’t think Blizzard would listen to the like of him.

I think Blizzard saw an opportunity and online requests and took it. Maybe they should do same for MOP?

Maybe in time they will. But there is a natural progression, tbc wrath etc.

I really wish Blizzard will host every expansion realms at some point so everybody would play what they want, i’m certain it would pull way more players, as classic proved nostalgia is making money for Blizzard.

You know what I want? I want more WoW versions, period. I think Blizzard should try something, where they release a WoW Alternate, let’s say, and it is WoW, but with alternate design philosophy. Maybe forced world pvp, and exp loss on death. Alternate combat, where all abilities cleave and you have to aim them, including spells (btw, the code for flying projectiles is there and it works. In Suramar there’s a WQ where you need to shoot bats out of the air, and you need to lead your targets… so it’s possible).

Take some programmers, give them all the assets and let them go crazy. Release their abomination as a part of the subscription, have it running for a year or two, after which its fate is decided.

I’m just waiting for people’s reaction when it comes full circle and we get BfA Classic.

They could as well create a new game if they were to go with something so drastically different to the current WoW gameplay.

Instead of Classic this & Classic that how about making an entirely new WoW killer? An awesome new mmorpg, better than all the p2w games we have now, WoW included (cause WoW is indeed p2w with BoE corruptions like gushing wound etc.)

That’s kind of the idea - make a new game with the current assets, put it in the same subscription and just experiment.

Speak for yourself, I want Classic WoD for that authentic Garrison experience… complete lag out in set up and all!

That’s still tons of dev time and actually making the entire thing work. They wouldn’t release it for free.

I don’t really know what a MoP classic would offer aside from the dungeons and raids being playable with a full raid again, to be honest.

The same case with TBC and Wrath to a certain degree, although the further you go back the more the systems are different

Nuh, not so much MoP - just it’s class design. So steal that and put it in Retail; voila.

Not with that attidude.

Thing is though; most people agree MoP was a pain at the start and great at the end. What we want is MoP+ which takes all the fixes and moves them up front, but then delivers the later stages of content over time.

I would totally play on a MoP server though. Probably even pay a double sub for it ¬_¬

If you keep getting classic versions of the game, it dies. All of it. You’ll split the playerbase to the point each game cannot be sustained because not enough people play X version of it.

Well, it actually can’t reach full circle with WOW expansion. If Blizzard launch every expansion as Classic servers in the same time range as normal expansion by the time BFA Classic is released there will be 7 expansions launched after BFA. and BFA will be an old expansion released 14 years ago.

It is a simple fact of life, everything that is current now will be the retro thing of the future.

Not it they only promote the last Classic version released because probably no version of WOW would survive eternally without new content. Even private vanilla servers do not last, people always want fresh servers to start again. So they can keep classic versions of the game of the game but only promote people to play in the last one released and the previous ones only have small number of cementary servers for the few people that do not want to change to the next expansion.

Anyway I think Classic servers will be for TBC and WOTLK but I do not seem probable for other expansions to launch. It is more possible after WOTLK to have a new batch of fress Classic servers and start again. It is the same I said, multiple Classic version but expecting to have the majority of players in only one and the other being cementery servers for a small minority.

That’s not true, in a way. Those who are interested in wrath but not in Vanilla would drop vanilla anyway once their favourite version releases.
