I’m not aware if this subject has been discussed before, or what’s the opinion of other hunters, but should we be able to teach our pets different abilities than the ones they originally have?
For example Cats have the Catlike Reflexes as their family ability, what if we could teach them something like Furious Bite (Wolf family ability), same would be said for every other pet family. I mean, we can finally (again) change specs for the pet, why not also teach them other abilities? Of course, the pet wouldn’t keep both, one would replace the other. We even have NPCs called Hunter Pet Trainers, which had a purpose in the past but not anymore, they could be re-used to be the ones who teach the pets the mentioned abilities.
Idk, I personally would just like to not have to leave my favourite pet in the stable when I want to do content where it’s ability is useless.
