Title says it all really.
However I could write a big essay here but let me first say that I am enjoying SoD but I am kinda surprised to see that after 19+ years if we’re talking Vanilla/Classic content and devs also added even late Retail abilities, they still did not adress their main issue. Mana regen. As if SP didn’t have it rough with poor scaling and other things to begin with.
(And no I don’t count Shaman’s mana spring totem or their S-rage or an oil you can only use in BFD).
Granted we just got a teaser for what’s coming but I fear that SP is not getting what people been asking for a very long time now. Ever since the early days up until now in SoD.
Giving them some damage buff (SW: Death) etc is nice but all it does is make them go from F-tier to E-tier. Yes you can go heavy Smite build and do OK ish but that’s not the point of playing SP. So even if we get to 40 now with Shadow Form, the long mentioned main issue is still not fixed.
So if any devs are reading this:
Please add Mana Regen to Shadow Priests.
Like add a new VT version that also gives them mana back and not just the party. Hence why they were called “mana battery” during tbc, only gave other mana back, or Fiend pet, something, anything.

So far, they added a shadowfrost version of mind spike, that bolsters even more our mind blast, so playing twisted faith will be a must.
About mana regen, I don’t know, since mind spike will be a rune, I expect the mana cost to be relatively low in comparation to other fillers such as mind flay.
I think that mana will not be a prolem in that regard, however, having a rework on homunculi to bring manafiend or mindbender instead, would be sweet.
So far, they have only teased us with 1 Sp rune, I hope that they will add another one for boots, which will fit our kit, let’s hope for it :).

Throwing a tantrum on the forums because they revealed a literal sneak peak and the stuff you wanted is not discussed is toddler- level mature.

And i recall Aggrend making a twitter about SP, and very much hinted there will be a rune adressing the mana issues for SP.

I can’t talk about the dataminded spoilers here cause it will be flagged and auto removed. My friendly and short reply to “Snaps” above you was one example. Meaning my reply to him was auto removed.
That said, who said the two things you mentioned are a joke? The first is a very strong def CD. Always was and gives some mana back as well. Tho it was more used as def CD and not to get mana back, that’s a bonus. Secondly about the other thing you mentioned, I even wrote that I hope it will be added and would be very welcomed. Both of these were hinted after I made my post just fyi. Both of these are very welcomed as mana return for SP.
So honestly, not sure were you were going with your reply. Let’s keep it civil.
