Phase 2 SoD changes to Enchanting

Dear Blizzard,

Something that I’ve found a bit of an oddity is the fact that Enchanting has been not Alt friendly. With SoD being sold as this, maybe Enchanting needs to be updated to 2024.

Can we please see a way for Enchanters to be able to enchant their Alts equipment. I know in later expansions, we got Vellums. Maybe we could have account bound versions of these (like Heirlooms)? Or some other system to allow only alts to use.

Regards,

Bigcrum

I agree, but some would say:

Just find a friend who enchants your things, and you enchant his things.

Having vellums woul reduce player interaction, only to replace it with a speculative AH market for enchants, straight from it.

It’s a pitty, but I think it should remain the same, I rather have this classic style of enchanting than a WotLK/Retail version of it.

You have an xp boost from 1-25, what do u need heirlooms for? Also, you can DE any item in the game at level 5, it doesn’t become more alt friendly than that.

I’m not saying bring in Heirlooms, or anything like that, just have Account Bound items for enchanting your alts gear.

I’ve got people who do enchanting, but why be able to trade EVERY other item made by players except enchanting? What happens if they stop playing? Or are offline when you need something? It’s not going to affect the economy as it’s Account Bound so you cant sell them like in later expansions.

It was an idea to bring Enchanting in line with every other Proffesion.

Vellums could be awesome. So, enchants can end up on the AH and you dont have to watch enchanters spam in /y and /2 24/7
And you can make enchants and send them to your alt. I love the idea.

no vellums in p2, possibly later acc to devs.
