Like we give a edited by moderator Its called hobby and ppl like to get ivested in them. Having a gaming hobby is no other than playing football or even watching and talking about it. Forums are kinda deep part of metagaming wow. If you are here you are a nerd. Just because you are smaller nerd than others doesnt mean you are not one. You just suck at one more thing in your life.
Next time your trying to get out gym class use this line
only a nerd would say such a thing and think that is true, jesus christ
comparing a real sport to some sweaty nerd hobby is
nerd stinky unwashed sweat is not the same as sweat from exercising
talking to the wrong crowd here I know
Yes compared running after ball on a field or other monkey activity to actually using Ur brain to play lmao
nerd saying nerd things trying to be a real man
no im not, i tbh only have this level 10 char, and a level 60 dh on retail, i dont play currently wow, i only use the forum out of boredom
forum is simply for entertainment, because it´s like a gurubashi arena
everyone vs everyone, it is who attacks the other as the hardest
the worst what they can do is to visit the forum as an new player
you are also a nerd, you’re arguing about nerds in an in-game forum, we are all nerds
and ofc the forum is there to fight who is the bigger nerd
im not 45, im 24
Edit: Nvm cba getting into an argument
pot, kettle though or whatever your point was
You can be a complete idiot and have top parses in classic wow, even in pvp you have hundreds of milliseconds to respond to enemy actions.
There is no “brain power” required to play this content and the only reason why you don’t’ understand the importance of physical exercise is that the game doesn’t force you to get good
You don’t have a reason to develop quick reflexes and thinking, you just need vast game knowledge, some basic logistic and communication skills for raiding and a lot of time for grinding.
Classic WoW is a game made for old people now that I think about it
I didnt say phsical exercise is bad. It is important you are right. My point was that no hobby is better than the others.
You know what I did the last time I went into Gnomer?
I wrote “hey, collecting dads and people who don’t even know what parses are. Need only patience and an ability to listen”.
Frakly, it was the best Gnomer I have had. If someone wants to check my parses, logs etc.: fair enough! I will just do my own raid then
We are talking about a video game, which is supposed to be an EXPERIENCE. I have more fun with friendly chatter, some wipes, maybe even not finishing the raids, than dealing with sweats. The only people I ever had to kick out of the group middungeon were not noobs, but people who probably played WoW way too many years.
My hunter has a Atziri Xbow and you can’t even find me on parses. And I like it this way. I don’t have fun playing with ppl who take the game too seriously.
Come on, we are talking about simplish raids where you don’t need ANYTHING (including consumables or WBs) to beat as long as nobody is acting stoopid.
When I started playing SoD the last version of the game I have played was TBC and I never raided back then. So basically I was a complete noob. I got lucky and made some friends while levelling, the first couple of raids they were carrying, by raid 3+ I was in top 3-5 DPS depemding on the boss.
They knew I was a total, complete backpedalling noob. Yet they never regretted getting me into the stable raiding group.
WoW is not a very difficult game. When I make a pug, I don’t ask for parses. I only try to understand whether I am dealing with a sweater / egogamer or a casual. Raiding with casuals who are actually concentrating on the boss mechanics, ready to listen to the strategy, most of whom use zero mods (I also don’t use any raid mods), is more often a much more pleasant experience than playing with WoW veterans. Simply because when you play a game for tens of years, you start to have a very different perspective on things.
