Phasing issues with world events

There are major issues with phasing technology in the game and world events (like Fyrakk Assault, Researchers Under Fire, Big Dig, Grand Hunts etc).

Sometimes I’m doing any world event with a few people and the game just decides to toss everyone of us into a different phase (where there’s probably more people) just because the tech tells it to do so. This results in the event that’s active (often being in one of the last steps) being interrupted and the event resetting as a whole.

This is very problematic for the meta achievement A World Awoken since it requires a specific set of Grand Hunts to be completed. So far I’ve been kicked out of the Grand Hunt at least 5 times, preventing me from completing the meta achievement all together. Since everytime it resets, it resets back to the initial point (West Azure Span), and begins the cycle anew from that point on.

Please allow people to choose wether or not they want to get phased, or prevent phasing as a whole for world events. It’s really annoying not being able to complete something that already takes an astronomical amount of time to do.

I’m only on for so long after a 12 hour shift before bed beckons, having progress reset because of this issue completely wasting my time seriously pisses me off… and I get a response from CS telling me there’s nothing wrong.

Been playing since TBC and the CS treats you like crap with a copy/paste response so they can quickly move onto the next ticket with the same response.

Beyond insulting.

When your group has started the event, stop invite the players, and u will not drop to other phase

Invite players before the event.

It happens when you’re literally the only person there…

There’s hardly any players doing Grand Hunts, let alone anyone forming a group for it.
Also, forming a group for a World Event shouldn’t trigger phasing.
I’m also not even inviting people, I’m mostly doing these World Events completely solo.

It shouldn’t though. And sometimes I’m not alone there.
What kind of crappy game design allows for this to happen?

I’ve litterally cycled through 2 Western Azure Span, 2 Eastern Azure Span and tried to do the southern one TWICE in one hour time. The event should complete, and afterwards begin the cycle anew. There’s no reason whatsoever for this event to keep on resetting because there’s no people nearby.

I’m 510+ ilvl, I can solo the entire outdoor world for all I care. But this is pissing me off to no extent.

Been playing this game for almost 20 years, but lately the amount of assenine decisions, lack of support, no GM’s in-game, copy/paste answers from Tech Support is just obnoxious.

I want to play this game, I want to have fun, but for the pete’s sake stop being a tone-deaf company and LISTEN to people when they have valid complaints. Most people work a full-time job, have a family to support and only get a few hours to play, and those few precious hours shouldn’t be filled with dumb technical issues that don’t ge treated when reported.

Other solution, switch to WM on … there r fewer players in war mode.
Yes this shard system has a disadvantage, when there r “a lot” poor populated shard, the system merges them. It works this way for around 10 years or more.
Try WM on, lets see what happens.

You don’t even have to be taking part in one of these events, or near one to get sharded because of them.

For example, I’ve been fishing a few times at the ice holes in Azure Span, when the cooking event starts at the opposite side of the map and I’ve been sharded 2-3 times while it’s been ongoing, causing fishing holes to disappear or reset, mobs to spawn on top of you, and so on.

I almost always play with WM ON, happens frequently.
